Time For Us To Grow Up

These four awesome people are why I need life insurance

Life is one of those things that is so busy and moves by so fast you don’t even think of the important things that you hopefully won’t need anytime soon but may need one day.

The one thing I am thinking about here is life insurance. It is something that everybody should have but I feel that when you are young you don’t even give it a second thought and I know from firsthand experience that this is so true. I am almost forty with no life insurance and in a way have been testing fate and living life by the seat of my pants. I need to start thinking about the bigger picture here because if anything ever happened to me it would have an impact on four other lives.

Melinda and I have been married for 11 years and have three beautiful children but we have no life insurance. You may be asking yourself why not and I am asking myself the same question because buying life insurance is not all that difficult. It is just one of those things that you need to sit down and do. I am one of those people that doesn’t like to think about death so buying life insurance would force me to think about that but I need to man up and deal with it so that I can be sure that Melinda and the kids are financially covered so that they have no worries. Like I mentioned we have three kids and they are getting older and we have one going to college in two and I would never want her not to be able to follow her dreams because something happened to me which caused Melinda and the kids to have to struggle financially.

As I am writing this post I am really aggravated that we don’t have any type of life insurance because I feel not having it is being irresponsible and taking an unnecessary risk.  Melinda and I have worked hard to get where we are now and need to make sure that we do what we can to protect it.
