What Were You Born To Do?

I was compensated for this post by The Motherhood on behalf of  March of Dimes but all opinions are %100 my own!!!!!

I am not sure how you answered the question “What were you born to do” but I can say #ImBornTo be a great father and an awesome husband.

This past weekend my family took me to the beach for Father’s Day and it was the most awesome three days that I have had in a long time.  It wasn’t the most relaxing time since we hustled from ride to ride and water park to water park but seeing the happiness on my kids face was worth every ounce of sweat.  I am very thankful for my kids especially after reading that in the United States, 1 baby is born prematurely every minute and, every day, about 72 babies die before reaching their first birthday.  I realize that I should be happy to be a father no matter what my kids want to do.  Thankfully for more than 75 years, the March of Dimes has been a leading nonprofit organization for pregnancy and baby health. With chapters nationwide, the March of Dimes works to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.

If your kids are like mine they are a pain in the butt a lot of the times but I wouldn’t have it any other way.  I find myself wondering what life will be like when my kids are grown and out on their own and it bums me out.  As much as I say that I would love an empty house I feel like Melinda and I would be bored to tears.  When I am busy doing activities I wish I was relaxing but when I am relaxing I say that I am bored, LOL.  Yes I know I am weird  Melinda tells me all of the time.

I learned a lot about myself this past Father’s Day and the biggest thing that I learned was cherish every moment you can because not everyone is lucky enough to be in the same boat.  There are a lot of fathers that were once dads and no longer are due to unfortunate circumstances.
