Green Tip of the Day-Cloth Diapers

Cloth Diapers! Now close your mouth and start breathing again. Yes I said cloth diapers and yes I mean the old fashioned squares of cushy cloth that is held together with pins. Nowadays they don’t have to be so old fashioned but they can still be green and quite frugal if done right. I cloth diaper my youngest daughter and I honestly can say I love it. She’s comfy, she rarely gets diaper rash, she has a colorful booty and it saves us quite a bit of money. In the beginning we used prefolds and fitteds. Prefolds are probably what you think of when you first think of cloth diapers.
Cloth diapers
this is what they look like, plain and simple, no frills, no fancy stuff. They cost approx $25 per dozen. Even when you factor in the cost of covers and fasteners they will still save you a ton of money over the diaper changing life of your child. You will have to change sizes as your child grows but they still have a couple uses. The small/newborn size can be used to stuff inside a larger size to add absorbancy, a great solution or naps and nighttime.

They also make the BESTEST cleaning clothes. Thats what I did with mine. They are simple to clean and keep getting fluffy after multiple washes and dries. Try them out you won’t be disappointed.
