Vado Pocket Video Camera

As a mom of 3 I want to capture every memory possible. Sometimes this is really hard because cameras aren’t always portable. We spend a lot of time outside or at the park or in the playroom and these are the times that are the most fun. The Vado Pocket Video Camera from Creative, USA is a smart solution to this problem.

The compact size of the Vado was the first thing I noticed and was excited about when it showed. The Set-Up instructions were short and simple and easy to follow, we had the camera working just a few hours after opening the box. Recording is one-touch with only 5 other buttons to control zoom, skip, power, delete and settings options. The attached USB port is the best feature. No more searching for the right cable in the junk drawer to upload videos. Simply slide the USB port out of the Vado and plug right into your computer/laptop. A quick installation of Vado Central software and the videos are ready to share with everyone. The Vado offers 2 hours of regular recording or 1 hour of high quality recording on a single charge.

This is one of my first videos of Shae. I was able to chase her around the playground with ease then slide it right back in my pocket.

I’m impressed with the size and ease of use the most but the quality isn’t going to replace my regular camcorder for things like Christmas morning or Birthday parties. The Vado is my go to for everyday events so I never miss another moment.

Apparently I did all the wrong things with my first 2 kids: they used bottles till they were 2 years old, they ate fast food and they watched too much television. I’m hoping I’m doing a little better job this time around.

I now consider myself a pretty “green” parent and raising all of my kids healthier and smarter. We all now know of the dangers of BPA and toxins coming in contact with our food and drinks and affecting the health of our children. With this new information we made crucial changes in our lives. Introducing The Safe Sippy from Kid Basix was a safe and smart switch.

When The Safe Sippy first came in I was put off a little by its size, Shae drinks A LOT of water so I worried about having to refill it often but I haven’t really noticed a problem; maybe the shape is just a little deceiving since it holds 11ounces. You will notice that the mouthpiece is plastic but have no fear, it is constructed of plastic certified free of BPA, phthalates and DEHA. While we don’t need them I noticed the handles will provide a helpful hold for younger toddlers, even older babies. I haven’t experienced leaks, the valve has a pretty tight fit so far. There is a silicone seal in the lid that can move around or fall off which can cause the lid not to fit properly so I check that often. So far I’m very impressed with the construction of The Safe Sippy. Shae really likes it too; she calls it her cold cup since the stainless steel is cool to the touch when I fill it with ice water.

I have a love/hate relationship with Summer. I love vacations, beaches, warm weather and swimming but I hate wearing a swimsuit. I’m conscious of the bumps and ripples and jiggles and really hate that they are exposed in a bathing suit. SlimPerfect has fixed that for me.

I sized up on my Tankini and I’m glad I did, any smaller wouldn’t have been comfortable and wouldn’t have given me the room for the girls.

Spreegirl Sleepwear Recapitulation

“It’s not just sleepwear, its fashion” is the Spreegirl philosophy for their trendy line of intimate apparel. I’m talking about so much more than just lacy panties and sheer lingerie. Spreegirl carries a full line of women’s boxer shorts, babydolls, halter camis, robes and more with bold designs, rich colors and vintage design giving each collection an updated retro feel.
When I received my Hipster Halter and Boxer Short, Rob and Sabreena immediately thought it was a swimsuit. The high quality material, braided strap and woven fabric details didn’t look like sleepwear. Some pieces are meant to be wearable, if I was 10 years younger and some pounds lighter the halter top would look fabulous with jeans and sandals.

Not everything Spreegirl carries is wearable outside the home though, they do have more intimate apparel such as the Glitz and Glam collection with is sheer material and bows. If you are looking for a more subdued but ultra feminine collection, check out their line, Slip into Nature. It consists of a set of sheer nature themed slips with delicate ribbon trim.

Sabreena’s jammies are adorable. She received a set from the London Pop collection, it so fits her age and style without being risqué. The brightly patterned and boldly colored capri pants, bra and henley tank are going to make for great summer jammies.

A special touch I want to mention is that my boxer shorts are lined in bamboo cotton. This sustainable material is naturally anti-bacterial and hypoallergenic. Bamboo requires no fertilizers, pestisides, or chemicals to boost growth, making it an excellent eco-friendly choice. Spreegirl is taking steps to incorporate more sustainable fabrics into their designs and working with other organizations and charities who share the same outlook to leave this world a better place than we found it.

I’ve mentioned how fanatical we are about sun care. We slather on sunscreen, wear hats, wear sun protection swimwear and lug umbrellas to the beach. Last year we brought this HUGE tent that needed poles and weights, it wasn’t even meant for the sun, it was the kids play tent. Shae sat in it but it wasn’t really protecting her from anything but the sand.

I took this out in the front yard and put it up by myself. It took me about 5 minutes to fully assemble, not bad for the first time. I mentioned the carry pouch, I expected it to be too long for me but even at 5’4” it didn’t scrape the ground once. The stakes and tethers come in their own little drawstring pouch so no worries about losing the smaller pieces. As you can see Rob has plenty of clearance under it with an Adirondack style chair. This is going to be perfect for the beach and Shaun’s soccer games. Heck I might even set it up in the backyard for bbqs for a little extra shade over the kids table.

Who doesn’t love a lazy day in warm jammies and comfy slippers? Do you know how to make that even better, big fuzzy, cozy Bunny Slippers. Bunny Slippers.com is your source for bunny and other animal slippers.

When BunnySlippers.com asked me to choose 1 pair to try out it was simple, classic bunny slippers. Don’t get me wrong, the Fuzzy Bumblebee slippers and the Hippo slippers were contenders but I knew I had to go with classic.

These slippers are squishy soft and super comfortable and with a rubber bottom that allows me wear them outside to get the mail or sit on the deck without threat of ruining from rough concrete or wetness. These bunnies come equipped with a fuzzy tail, long whiskers and adjustable wire framed ears. The overstuffed body truly resembles a stuffed animal, so much so that Shae often rests her head on my feet and more often steals them from me to wear herself.

The details are well thought out from the firmly affixed eyes to the soft velour nose. Construction and quality is phenomenal; there is no risk of these falling apart anytime soon, I’m sure to see years of use out of these cuties.
