If you’ve ever wondered what a viking would eat, we have the answer. Viking warriors ate an assortment of meats like goat and mutton as well as seafood. They also consumed dairy products from cows, goats, or sheeps milk-but they didn’t drink any alcohol! In fact, it was frowned upon by their culture to consume anything but water while on campaign so that they could stay alert for potential attacks. The viking diet consisted largely of vegetables such as cabbage and kale which were grown in gardens located inside their homes called longhouses. We hope this has been helpful information about how our ancestors lived centuries ago without all the processed food that is available today!
