New Balance 711 Trainer Shoes

The road to weightloss and healthy living is a long bumpy one. There are many distractions and excuses that get in the way. The best way to stay focused and on track is to have a goal and enlist the help from products you trust and rely on. New Balance is one of those brands.

A while back i was sent a pair of 711 trainers. The timing was great, i was getting back into running. Over the years my feet have grown a tough. My usualy size 8’s weren’t comfortable when it came to athletic shoes so I moved up to 8 1/2 for these. Unfortunately that did work for these shoes either. I had to request a size 9. Perfect fit. I chalk it up to being a slimmer fit shoe, no big deal. Those 8 1/2 shoes when to my mother who has started walking again too.

The 711 Trainer is lightweight with a stretchy flexible fit all over the foot. The cushioning technology called CUSH+ is a revolutionary foam compound. Offering ultra soft and responsive cushioning and comfort without sacrificing durability or stability.

That cushioning makes it’s comfortable to run on concrete, wall the mall, workout in the gym and hike the trails with the kids.

I’ve trusted New Balance for many years to outfit my feet in comfort and support. I also support New Balance as they support Made in America efforts.

In 2013, 1 out of every 4 pairs of shoes we sold in the USA was made or assembled here. Where the domestic value is at least 70%, we label our shoes “Made in the USA.”

With over 5 US factories New Balance is providing jobs for their own employees and the employees of their Made In America suppliers from Pennsylvania to Maine to Ohio and back home to Massachusetts.

Shop New Balance knowing you’re getting great shoes, gear and apparel.

New Balance Kids Sneakers Giveaway

It’s Back to School Time! The list is long of everything needed. For Shaun the top of his list are new sneakers. By the time summer rolls around we are lucky his shoes have stayed in one piece so he can truly beat them up. New Balance is back with a great review for kids sneakers; this time of the 688 collection.

New Balance 688 – Perfect for the active kid on the go, the New Balance 688 offers the support, comfort and cushioning Moms and Dads look for, in a bright, fun package that kids will love. The 688 is a technical running shoe featuring ABZORB cushioning and a fashionable upper design in a variety of pop colors. Available in lace or alternative closures for July 2011. MSRP: $44.95 Youth, $34.95 Infant.

Shaun is the typical boy; tshirts, running shorts and sneakers tend to be his uniform for school. As cool weather comes around just switch the shorts with jeans. He likes to be able to take off on foot if the opportunity arises and doing that is fancy shoes doesn’t work. I asked him to pick out his New Balance 688 and he instantly chose gray/red/black color combination with the alternative closure. The kid knows how to tie his shoes but that is just a waste of his time. A quick hook & loop closure is the much better way to go to get out the door and to the bus stop.

GO

We’ve never had a bad experience with New Balance sneakers. For the last 4 years they’ve been all the Shaun and Rob wears. They hold up to daily wearing and as long as they fit they continue to work well as play, gardening, yard work shoes once a newer, shinier pair comes along.

Just in time for Back to School, New Balance is giving away a child/infant pair of 688 sneakers to a LookWhatMomFound…and Dad too! reader. Visit New Balance and tell me the color combination you choose and who they would be for.

New Balance 890’s Are Light As 13 Balloons

I am a HUGE sneaker wearer and my sneaker of choice is New Balance and has been for about five years now. To me New Balance is comfort and durable and holds up to everything I put them through.

I recently had the opportunity to analyse the New Balance 890’s. They by far and the best and lightest sneakers that I have ever owned weighing in at a mere 9.7 ounces. The 890’s are so light it takes only 13 helium balloons to send the 890 into orbit!

This spring 2011 Boston-based New Balance will introduce a truly one-of-a-kind neutral running shoe for the everyday runner. The NewBalance 890,featuring a unique, innovative, and revolutionary new foam compound, RevLite, is designed for the neutral runner who wants to run fast or feel fast in a lightweight package, without sacrificing durability, cushioning, or support. The New Balance 890 will launch in two colors for men and women and retail for $100.00.

Even though the 890’s are lightweight I don’t feel like I am sacrificing comfort or durability when wearing them. I am not a runner but I do wear these sneakers daily so I want something that I know can and will provide me all around comfort. So far I am extremely impressed with the 890’s and glad that I have a pair.

For you people who love specs here you go:

  • Blown Rubber Forefoot for lightweight cushioning
  • Ndurance® rubber compound for maximum outsole durability
  • ABZORB® Strobel Board runs full length of shoe to maximize shock absorption and comfort
  • Removable full-length insert of ABZORB® cushioning provides added comfort
  • Synthetic/Mesh upper provides lightweight comfort and support
  • Innovative REVlite midsole provides premium responsiveness and durability at a 30% lighter weight than other foams with comparable performance
  • Welded seams for no-sew material application
  • Flat, soft laces slide through uniquely flat lacing holes, locking them in place and preventing top-of-foot discomfort
  • Created to meet the competitive requirements of world-class runner and Team New Balance member Andy Baddeley, whose name appears on the men’s 890
  • The stated weight of the men’s 890 shoe (9.7oz and 275g) applies to men’s size 9.5 D.

I love New Balance not only for their sneakers but for the things they believe in like New Balance Wellness.  New Balance Wellness is about fitness, nutrition, motivation and time.  It is a place where each day is an opportunity to nurture the mind, body & soul.

Want to win an awesome pair of New Balance 890’s for yourself?  If so you came to the right place because one lucky Look What Mom Found…and Dad too! winner will have the chance to win either a women’s or men’s pair of 890’s for themselves.  All you have to do is head over to New Balance and tell me why you would like a pair of the 890’s.

Back to School New Balance Fierce Trax Sneakers Giveaway-CLOSED

School will be upon us in two weeks which means new clothes and shoes for the kids. Shaun is a sneaker kind of kid so I always try to get him the most comfortable and durable pair I can because after all he is 7 years old which means he destroys everything. My first choice for Shaun is New Balance because that is all I wear and I find them to be extremely comfortable and durable. We were lucky enough to receive a pair of Kids KJ910 New Balance Fierce Trax Lace-Up Shoe in Grey/Lime for review.

I must admit the KJ910 in Grey/Lime is a slick looking sneaker. I was impressed with its look and design right out of the box and when Shaun put them on for the first time they really looked good. Shaun loved how they looked and after he put them on he ran from the living room to the kitchen. I wondered what he was doing and he said he wanted to see if they were comfortable to run in and he said they were. Not sure how much a 20 foot run is going to tell him but if they are like the other 4-5 pair of New Balance sneakers Shaun has had these are going to be perfect for him. The KJ910 have a mesh upper which will keep Shaun’s feet cool and they also have a non-marking outsole making these perfect for gym.

From the new kids’ NB Fierce Trax Collection, this aggressive cheetah-inspired running shoe features N-ergy in the heel and NB GRIP technology on the outsole, bringing you a durable, fashionable and functional treat for your child’s feet.

Another reason that I really like New Balance is because they are more then just a shoe company. They are into awesome causes like being the national sponsor of the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure for the 6th consecutive year and Girls on the Run which is a non-profit prevention program that encourages pre-teen girls to develop self-respect and healthy lifestyles through running.

Be sure to check out New Balance for your next pair of sneakers or if you just want to read about the awesome causes that New Balance is a part of.  Or win a pair of boys or girls Fierce Trax sneakers here at LookWhatMomFound…and Dad too!  Girls will get their choice of grey/purple or silver/blue (shown below) and boys will choose grey/lime green (shown above) or black/silver.  These are grade school size shoes, sizes 3.5-7.  Let us know which pair you would prefer if you won.
