Today I was out at the playground with my kids and they turned beet red from the combination of sun and heat. And it is only early May. So just imagine how necessary it will be to really protect your children from the sun this summer. And Baby Banz has everything you need to protect your child from the sun – from their skin to the tops of their heads and everything in between. Their product line includes:
- Sunglasses for babies, toddlers, kids and adults
- Swimsuits – one piece, two piece and three piece sets as well as separate tops and bottoms
- Hats
- Sunscreen
- Accessories: Sunglass cases, kinderkords and ear muffs.
My boys had the opportunity to try out their UV shirts and my littlest one tried out some Baby Banz. What I loved about the Baby Banz was the comfortable strap. It was a flexible material and very soft. You can adjust the size of the strap with Velcro in the back. The strap is very wide and comfortable – so you can’t compare it to the straps on goggles. (That’s what I originally thought it would be like). And the nose piece is a soft, comfortable rubber. I wish my glasses had that! They seemed so comfortable on my son and fit him PERFECTLY. Unfortunately, he wasn’t used to these kinds of glasses and kept taking them off and had trouble putting them back on. But I think he’ll get used to the style eventually.
The health benefits are the best with Baby Banz, with lenses that offer 100 percent UVA and UVB protection. And these things can take a beating as we took them to the beach, playgroundand grandparent’s house, took them off and on, had them loose in the diaper bag for a while – and not a scratch on them. Perfect for little ones.
The shirts were awesome too. We received Aqua Tops in size 3/4. Both my 16 month old and 3 year old are the same size – 25 pounds. My oldest is maybe 35 inches and my little one is 33 inches tall, so it seemed like a safe size to request. The shirts are soft, stretchy and flexible with white stripes on either side. The stitching is sturdy and there is no itchy tag, so the shirt will be comfortable to wear in and out of the water. My husband really wants one for himself!
The shirt has a SPF 50 UPF rating and was tested to Australian standards. Australia has one of the highest skin cancer rates, so they take skin care and testing seriously! UPF 50+ means these shirts block over 98 percent of harmful UVR.
I LOVE these shirts. I love the style, the color and the protection. I love that I don’t have to douse my sons in lotion, when protection can be as simple as putting on a shirt and then putting lotion on their face, arms and legs.
