Last night Melinda, Shae and I were sitting in my bedroom and Melinda was singing songs with Shae. Shae’s birthday is August 13th so Melinda has been practicing singing Happy Birthday with Shae. I have to be honest, this was the first time I was hearing Shae sing Happy Birthday and Shae was singing it very well. The funniest thing was right after she would finish singing Happy Birthday she would say “One more time” which cracked me up. I bet you they sang Happy Birthday at least 10-12 times. After they sung Happy Birthday a dozen times they then moved to a new song “Do you ears hang low”.
Sabreena then comes up and hangs with us in our bedroom and now Shae dupes Sabreena into singing Happy Birthday with her. Probably because her and mommy didn’t sing it enough, NOT!!!
The funniest part of this whole things was right after Sabreena and Shae sung Happy Birthday they began to sing Do your ears hang low. WTF, LOL. Sabreena didn’t even know Shae and mommy sung it before she came up but here they are now singing it. Maybe you had to be their to get the full effect.
I find it really cool Melinda and Sabreena have an arsenal of songs they sing with Shae and that Shae for the most part can sing along. Maybe I need to learn some songs to sing with Shae as I am feeling a little left out. I still think it is really cool that Mommy, Shae and Sabreena bond over songs and I enjoy watching them.
