Who doesn’t love Scooby-Doo and the spooky mysteries that they face in every episode? I can remember every Saturday morning as a kid getting excited to get myself setup in front of the TV to watch Scooby-Doo. To this day as a grown man I still like to watch Scooby Doo when I catch it on TV. I guess Scooby-Doo doesn’t get old with age.
Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! Vol. 3 Hello Mummy from Warner Home Video hit the stores on September 1st and features the following four episodes from the original series:
- The Backstage Rage – Shaggy and Scooby-Doo find a violin case filled with money, which disappears when Scooby-Doo is distracted by a puppet. A lead takes the Mystery Inc. gang to a local theater, where they uncover a counterfeiting scheme masterminded by a shadowy figure.
- Bedlam in the Big Top – The Mystery Inc. gang meets a strongman and a midget who are on the run from a circus that is allegedly haunted by a ghost clown. The gang investigates the circus grounds, and one-by-one, they each fall victim to the ghost clown’s powers of hypnotism.
- A Gaggle of Galloping Ghosts – On the road, the gang pulls up to an ancient castle that has been transported brick-by-brick from Transylvania. Upon entering it however, they find that it is haunted by three creatures: a vampire, a werewolf and a Frankenstein-like monster.
- Scooby-Doo and a Mummy, Too – Archeology professors at a local college show the gang the school’s latest acquisition: the mummy of Ankha, an ancient Egyptian ruler who placed a curse upon any who violate his tomb. The curse appears to be valid, as the gang finds their professors turned to stone and a mummy figure roaming the grounds looking for a particular Egyptian coin.
I was really excited when I received a copy of this DVD for analysis because now my kids as well as I can sit down and enjoy the spooky mysteries together. Scooby-Doo is a classic that I suggest everyone watch. It has humor, mystery and a talking dog, what else could you ask for. LOL.
