Feeding Penny Pig, a lesson for saving money

I like to think I’m raising a bunch of book lovers. I’m also hoping I’m raising them to make smart choices. For the most part Shaun knows money is earned. He doesn’t fully grasp the value of things but he knows his money gets saved rather than spent. Feeding Penny Pig is a new book we’ve been introduced to that helps children learn some basics about money, earning allowance, doing chores and responsibility.

Penny Pig is a very special piggy bank that is given to a young girl, Laney by her grandmother. The piggy bank was a gift to not only teach a lesson about saving money but also taking care of her new friend. Feeding Penny Pig offers a unique view into a child’s piggy bank saving while making it logical but still child-friendly.

Feeding Penny Pig is a great read with a solid lesson, perfect for children aged 5-8. Shae enjoyed listening to the story and looking at the illustrations but the message was perfect for Shaun’s age.
