I was reading the NY Times one day last week and I stumbled across an article on a cool gadget call uCorder.
The uCoder is a a minature wearable camcorder about the size of a stick of gum that you can attach to your belt, wear it around your neck via the lanyard or slip in into your shirt pocket. The uCorder comes in two models, the $80 IRDC150 (1GB of built in memory) or the $100 IRDC250 (2GB of built in memory). You can also add an optional MicroSD card for additional memory of up to 8GB. The 1GB option gives you about 36 minutes of video and the 2GB 72minutes of video. The uCoder also has a built in LED for low light situations and it also recorders in an AVI format.
What made me read this article is the fact that Melinda says all of the time that we should turn on a camera and just record all of the crazy stuff that goes on in our house. With the uCorder not only could I record the action at home but also the action I encounter on the go. I can’t guarantee that my videos would be adventurous or exciting but I bet they would definitely be interesting. Alot of the videos would be me on the bus to and from work which would be pretty funny. Read my article here about that HERE or me at work which most likely would put you to sleep but at least you could see what I see during the day. BORING, well at least the work part would be!!! LOL!!!
I really would love to give the uCorder a try and see what kind of action I run into during the day. Thinking about some of the stuff I see while in the city each day is making me laugh while I’m writing this post. Maybe someday I will give the uCorder a try and then the real fun will begin for you and me.
