I think all of us would prefer not to have to do that. If that’s the case, then what you need is a log holder; it’s definitely a useful tool to have when you just want to sit back and enjoy your evening.
If you are like me, then you don’t want a messy pile of wood next to your fireplace or it being shoved into your cupboard; doing this wouldn’t be healthy for you or the wood. If wood is kept in a cupboard or in a messy pile, then it will attract pests, and it’s not healthy for the wood because it needs moisture to run through it. That is why a log holder is a great suggestion because it keeps your logs looking good and healthy, plus they can be wherever you want, for example, right next to your fire, so you don’t have to move far when enjoying your evening.

As I mentioned before, you don’t want pests coming into your home, so you would want a log holder that would fit by your fire so that it stays warm and dry; that way, pests won’t be inviting themselves into your home.
Storing your wood on the log holder was only a suggestion; you could also store your wood in your cupboard. I know I said before about keeping them out of your cupboard, but there is a canvas log bag in which you store your wood; if you use this in your cupboard, then it will keep the pests out. If you don’t want to store your wood that way, then you might want to put it by the fire, as I said before, and if you want it here, then you are going to want it to look good because it will be on display, so maybe an iron or steel log holder.
One other option you might consider is using a firewood cart; of course, this one is more for those with less mobility.
