If you are in a setting where breastfeeding isn’t available, nor do you have the margin to get creative with feeding, Kendamil Formula has your back! It takes five minutes to prepare with all the ingredients already ready.
On that note, let’s get right into the hows and whys.
When Should You Prepare The Baby Formula?
Ideally, the formula should be prepared before you bottle-feed your little one. When you have to leave for a journey and preparing the formula on the spot won’t be possible, feel free to do so before you leave.
However, preparing it in advance and storing it in the refrigerator as part of the routine isn’t advisable. If the formula is left at room temperature, it will only stay good for two hours.
Steps To Follow To Prepare Kendamil Organic Formula
Here’s a step to step guide that you can follow to prepare a bottle of formula.
- Wash your hands and ensure you don’t touch anything with bacteria on its surface.
- Sterilize the utensils and the bottle you will pour the prepared formula into the first time. Otherwise, it may increase the risk of falling ill for your little one.
- Boil fresh tap water in a kettle. Don’t over-boil it so it is easy to cool down.
- After boiling the water, cool it down to 30 degrees Celsius. If you don’t have the equipment to measure temperature, test it on your skin. Avoid using repeatedly or previously boiled water.
- Add the cooled water to the feeding bottle.
- Use the provided scoop to add the formula to the bottle. Ensure the formula quantity is well measured (each scoop should be leveled).
- Shake and mix well so it takes up the color of milk and the powder is completely dissolved.
- Test it on your wrist to ensure that the temperature suits your baby.
- Viola! Your Kendal Organic Formula is ready.
How To Sterilize The Feeding Bottle Before Use?
First, let’s clear out a common misunderstanding; you don’t necessarily need a sterilizer to clean the feeding bottle and kill any present germs. Instead, you can use a good ol’ pot and some boiled water to clean.
Add water and the feeding bottle to a pot. Boil the water for 5 minutes on medium to low flame, and don’t forget to put the lid on the pot. Remove the feeding bottle and the nipple from the boiling water with clean tongs. Be careful while using your bare hands to take the bottle out.
Note: After sterilizing the bottle and nipple for once, you don’t need to redo it after every use. Thoroughly rinsing it with water and soap should do the trick.
So, if your child is older than six months, don’t delay getting your hands on Kendamil Formula. We’re sure you’ll keep coming back to it!
