Sometimes simple is best. Shae is at a stage where drawing is fun but crayons still taste good. The Aquadoodle Draw and Doodle Mat is ingenious. Drawings appear on the large mat with just plain ole water. Just fill the marker style pen with water, tighten the cap and let your little one draw at her own speed. We’ve had issues with crayons not showing up on paper because she just doesn’t apply enough pressure, at this age she requires instant gratification. The Aquadoodle gives her that instant gratification with just a touch of the pen. The mat itself dries in just a few minutes so clean up is quick. The pen also now has its own little stretchy loop so it doesn’t get lost (we’ve lost one in the past). A little tip, a qtip dipped in water works pretty good for if the pen is misplaced, I’ve read you can order extra pens here though.
Shae is able to scribble all over the place without the fear of ink or paint on the carpet or furniture. If you have a budding artist this is a must have toy.
