Shae received the new Firefly Polliwalks. I let out a loud AWWWWWW when I opened the box. I couldn’t believe how utterly adorable they were. With a step, jump or stomp these fun clogs light up like real fireflies while leaving a buggy footprint in sand, dirt and water. Just a damp washcloth gets them clean too, no worrying about them getting ruined at the playground. Shae loves her Polliwalks and often picks as her shoe for the day when she comes out of her room wearing them and just a diaper. She shows off the light-up butt and stomps around the house.
These shoes go beyond cute with their superior fit, extreme comfort, easy on and off and lightweight material. Most of the shoes are machine washable expect for those that integrate other materials such as light up butts and faux fur. Created by the imagination of long time footwear designer and former toy designer Joel Rusnak, he thought children’s shoes should be fun and offer toy like features that make wearing them a playful experience. Joel teamed up with his wife and industry colleagues and together they came up with Polliwalks. They are dedicated to creating innovative shoes that appeal to fun side of being a child while keeping the environment in mind. All excess material created from the molding process is recycled, creating no-waste manufacturing. Their minimal packaging is environmentally friendly by using tags and hooks made with recycled paper and plastic.
