Kidorable gear and accessories review and GIVEAWAY

The weather around here lately is weird, rain in the morning and sun by lunch and rain again at night. We like to walk Shaun to the busstop but Shae doesn’t like her shoes to get wet, yes she’s prissy sometimes. How happy was she (and I) when she received these adorable Ladybug Rain Boots and matching Ladybug Backpack from Kidorable. And yes she wears both the boots and backpack to the bus stop even when it’s not raining.


Kidorable is an online boutique for kid’s raingear and fun accessories. Started in 1997 by Liping and Jonathan Domsky, they proclaimed, “The world needs someone to create children’s apparel and accessories that are both functional and fun. We can do that.” That first year was the introduction of umbrellas and hangers and each year they launch a new product line which brings them another year of success. In its first three years, Kidorable grew from a hopeful startup to a thriving business with $2 million in sales. Ever since, Kidorable has continued to blossom, evolving into a flourishing global enterprise, contributing to the success of dozens of sales professionals and thousands of retailers, with sales projected to exceed $10 million by 2010.

Every kid needs their very own umbrella for the rain. I remember buying Shaun a frog Kidorable umbrella on a rainy shopping trip. He was bummed he didn’t have his own umbrella so when we spotted it in a department store I knew it would make his day. While this was a couple years ago we still have it and he still has the urge to use it but at the ripe old age of six something more manly might be more appropriate. Shae is at the perfect age to carry an umbrella, dress in a raincoat wear rainboots and carry her backpack, all matching and all ridiculously adorable. The product line reaches far beyond raingear. Another one of my faves is the hooded towel, a great accessory for bath or beach! Take your pick from a variety of fun kids products like backpacks, mittens, scarves, embroidered tees, bookends and more, all designed to complement the theme and take your child from toddlerhood to preschool.
