Kohl’s is a company that does amazing things for their communities. Since 2000 The Kohl’s Cares for Kids program had donated more than $126 million to support 100 health and educational opportunities for children nationwide. This program was created as a commitment to the communities the stores serve to benefit projects such as injury prevention, immunizations and education programs for diabetes, asthma and childhood obesity and others.
Each day Kohl’s Cares for Kids provides the net profits of their merchandise sales to support children’s health and education nationwide. The sale of each $5 book or stuffed friend is proof that a little goes a long way. A good book and a snuggly friend can be a positive impact on children far beyond the cash register.
I’m a big fan of Kohl’s stores! We’ve purchased our fair share of books and plush in the past; Sandra Boyton, Dr. Suess, Laura Numeroff, Bill Martin and MORE! We especially love the $5 books. Whether we purchase to keep or give as a gift it’s a great way to bring a smile to a child and help some others in the process.
