Shae immediately knew what she wanted to be for Halloween. From the first time I asked her she said Velma. Yes, Velma from Scooby Doo. I was given the opportunity another great item from Olive Barn. With a shop full of unique and eco-conscious garden goodies I was ecstatic when I opened up my Gypsy tuned wind chimes. We had the perfect spot near the sliding glass doors so that they can be heard inside also. Being on the end unit and having a field behind us gives us these great winds throughout the day. We are constantly being serenaded by the dingdong sounds.

A few weeks back Shaun and I were admiring wind chimes at a local shop and we realized we didn’t like the “tinkling” sounds that come from the smaller, lesser quality instruments. Country Chic shopping at Plow and Hearth plus Giveaway-CLOSED

A welcoming room needs nice finishes before it can be really complete. This might mean curtains, candles or a colorful throw. My kitchen needed a great piece of artwork on the wall to bring it together; we found it at Plow and Hearth.

My picture is beautiful and works wonderfully with the green walls and wood and wrought iron furniture. When I opened It I was pleased how bright red the flowers were. This particular print is canvas wrapped so no need to look for the right size frame and incur additional costs. Literally unwrap and hang. It instantly added a warm feeling, something the kitchen was missing since moving in.

Back to School The Children’s Place GC Giveaway-CLOSED

Today was the first day of school for Shaun and last week before we left on vacation we realized Shaun needed some new shorts and khaki pants for vacation and school so we headed over to The Children’s Place.

We have been shopping at The Children’s Place for years. I remember shopping at Children’s Place for Sabreena who is now 14 years old. One of the main reasons we continue to shop at Children’s Place is it’s affordable plus the styles look great. They also offer sneakers, coats, hat, gloves, sleepwear and backpacks. His winter coat has come from Children’s Place for the last couple year and usually lasts as long at it fits

School started today for Sabreena and she was beyond excited! It’s still summer here so we haven’t actually done a whole lot of school clothes shopping yet. We are headed out to T.J. I remember when I was in high school (which was a very long time ago, LOL) and needing a scientific calculator. If I remember correctly it was a Texas Instrument; expensive and did everything but not like the new TI-Nspire with Touchpad from Texas Instrument.

We recently received the TI-Nspire with Touchpad from Texas Instrument for review and just in the nick of time because on the 30th of this month Sabreena will be starting high school and this calculator will be getting used often. The TI-Nspire with Touchpad has a ton of really cool features like Touch it and Graph it. The Touch it is an easy glide touchpad which allows it to operate like a computer with a mouse. You can install software onto your home computer which allows you to easily create, edit and transfer TI-Nspire documents between computer and handheld. With this software you can save your documents, print out documents and share TI-Nspire documents between calculator and computer – and with your teacher.

The TI-Nspire with Touchpad from Texas Instrument also has a nice selection of accessories like a rechargeable battery and in interchangeable keypads. The TI-Nspire comes with four AAA batteries but the rechargeable battery allows you to easily charge it via the wall adapter or USB to charge it through the computer. Interchange it –When you snap on the TI-84 Plus Keypad, you get all the features of the TI-84Plus – a great added value. Need one? Get it by mail at no added cost – just look on your package.

This is a really hi-tech calculator that your student should not be without. I am glad that Sabreena will be starting off high school on the right foot with the TI-Nspire with Touchpad from Texas Instrument.
