Family Game Night with Snyder’s of Hanover and Mattel

Sabreena has been asking for the game Apples to Apples.  She said it’s a game that we can probably all play.  For whatever reason I keep forgetting to get it.

I opened up a box today that was filled to the brim with Snyder’s of Hanover snacks and guess what was in it? Apples to Apples.  There were other games too but that one is what the kids were so excited for.

Snyder’s of Hanover and Mattel are teaming up to provide not only some wholesome snacks but some wholesome fun. These are the days of technology so sometimes we forget to power down and enjoy real face to face interaction with family and friends.

UNO Roboto Is The New Way To Play Uno

UNO is the game that seems to be played most in our house but now regular UNO may be replaced with UNO Roboto.  We recently received UNO Roboto for review and it is a pretty cool game that takes UNO to a whole new level. Looking for a new way to play Uno? Check out UNO Roboto – the latest game from the makers of the classic card game. With an aviator betway-themed twist, UNO Roboto is sure to be a hit with everyone.

UNO Roboto is played like regular UNO where each player is dealt seven cards but that may be where the similarities end.  UNO Roboto makes every player record his or her name and also asks if you want to select a house rule which is optional and can be made up by you if you want or you can use the suggestions that are provided.  Some of the house rules that are provided with UNO Roboto are meow like cat and a real mouth full where you can talk like a pirate or a cowboy.  There are a more options provided but these two are my favorite.  The House Rules are done when UNO Roboto tells you to perform your house rule and whoever does it last has to draw two cards.  Another cool thing about UNO Roboto is at times when instructed you get to exchange your cards with the player you are told to exchange with.  When I played this worked more against me then it did for me but that is ok because I had a blast playing.  UNO Roboto will surprise you by calling out Random Rules and funny phrases that change the way you play.

If you are accustom to playing regular UNO you should give UNO Roboto a try.  It takes what is already a cool game and makes it a really funny game that is great to play with kids, family members or friends at a party.

UNO Roboto comes with 1 UNO Roboto figure, 108 cards and instructions and is recommended for ages 7-11 years.

I Was a Millionaire Hairdresser Living In A Mobile Home Tonight

Tonight the whole family played The Game of Life.  Recently Sabreena, Shaun and Shae have been playing and tonight Melinda and I joined in on the fun.

I haven’t played Life in probably 20 years and had forgotten how many rules were involved.  Thank goodness Sabreena and Shaun knew the rules and helped us along.  I hope they didn’t trick me and Melinda. LOL.   Tonight Shae lasted about four turns before she bailed and watched cartoons.   Before she bailed she did get married and the funny thing is she put her husband in the very back row of the car and kept saying “Yeah I got married and I put my husband in the back seat.”  That is her green car below and the blue stick is her husband in the very back seat.

I started the game as a police officer but lost my job and became a hairdresser.  I lived in a mobile home and at one point had the most money in the game.  I was a millionaire hairdresser living in a mobile home and for the first time in my life felt good.

I finished the game last with 1.4 million dollars as I was plaque with lawsuits and a few other crazy expenses.  Sabreena finished first with about 1.9 million followed by Shaun then Melinda.  So for a brief moment I was flying high but in the end finished dead last.  Melinda said it was because I was the only one who didn’t go to college and started a career instead.

So tonight for a little while we put our real lives on hold to play the Game of Life which was a lot of fun.
