You check out circulars, clip coupons and watch for sales. All that time spent but do you see it benefiting your wallet? Shopping Nanny is the newest tool out there to help you sort, search and plan out your shopping trips to maximize your dollar without wasting time.
The Shopping Nanny looks for opportunities to combine sales, coupons, special offers, and store specials to often double, triple or even quadruple your savings. Sometimes, you can even get products for free!
The Shopping Nanny works a couple different ways.
Tell Shopping Nanny your favorite stores, enter your loyalty cards and select the offers/coupons/deals you would like to take advantage of. Depending on your particular store those deals will be “deposited right onto your card OR they will have to be printed.
I really like the concept of having digital coupons put right onto a card. Not only does this eliminate time spent clipping, sorting, filing, finding and matching but it also eliminates the waste produced. If I can hope on the computer, make my shopping list, “check” off the coupons I’m going to use then the process is going to be much smoother and no more forgetting the coupon book in the car.
The Shopping Nanny will also alert you when there is a coupon or special offer available at one of your selected stores if you add it to your list. For example, I added breakfast sausage to this weeks list and up popped up a message saying 1 Store Special along with the brand and price. I find the more generic you are with your description the better. Type in cereal and see ALL offers but type in Kix and you’ll only see a coupon for that one brand.
Once your done prepping, print your list and coupons (for advanced members), load your deals onto your card (available for selected stores) and head out for guaranteed savings.
*If you spend more than $90 per week on groceries and use Shopping Nanny’s list feature, they guarantee you’ll save $40 per month or your next month is free.
I’m just getting used to the site and the quirks and functionality so I can’t attest to the savings guarantee but I will be sitting down with our standard list and discussing with Rob how we can incorporate this into our shopping excursions. He does 90% of the grocery shopping so this is something he would have to be willing to try out and commit to. A free membership gives some decent functionality but the inability to print your shopping list and some other features. But for $5.95/month you get complete access to all printing features, tools and services. Try their FREE 2 week trial which gives complete access to the entire program, no obligation.
To help with your shopping whether it’s for groceries, household goods or holiday gifts, the Shopping Nanny wants to giveaway a $100 Visa Gift Card to one lucky LookWhatMomFound…and Dad too! reader.
