Finding The Right Ring Was Hard

I have been married for almost ten years now and I can remember the day when Melinda and I went shopping for wedding bands. I didn’t know anything about jewelry (still don’t) or about what I wanted. I remember looking at titanium rings, tungsten rings, tungsten rings with diamonds, 10/14k gold rings with and without diamonds. I kid you not we looked at so many rings one from the Cracker Jack box was starting to look good.

The ring process is very overwhelming especially if you have no clue what you want or what you are looking at and that is where I depended on the sales person. Unfortunately I feel they are out to only make a sale and not have my best interest in mind which makes it a little difficult to believe them because you aren’t sure what their true motives are.

After looking at many rings I finally started to narrow down the selection. I really liked the engravable tungsten rings as well as the engravable 10k and 14k rings but in the end I went with a titanium wedding band. I like the titanium because it was simple and durable and would withstand just about everything I would put it through. I like to cycle as well as do yard work and stuff with my hands and didn’t want to have to worry about my ring getting damaged and having to always take it off and worry about losing it. Also, my wedding band was pretty inexpensive which make the decision process a little easier.

Why is ring shopping so difficult? Did you have a hard time finding the right ring?
