2014 disclosure

I have reviewed Kia’s, Ford’s, Mitsubishi’s and now I can add Mazda’s to my list.  Back in June we reviewed the 2014 Mazda3 S Grand Touring 5 door which we really liked and this time we reviewed the 2015 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring AWD which was a really nice vehicle.

This is only my second time driving a Mazda and I must admit I really liked how they felt, drove and handled.  If I was in the market for a new vehicle I would be buying either a Mazda3 or Mazda CX-5 for sure.  But since I am not in the market let me just dream and tell you what I thought about the Mazda CX-5.

The Mazda CX-5 wais loaded and I mean loaded with awesome features like push button engine start (which I love), dual zone auto climate control (which rocks since Melinda is always cold and I am always sweating), bluetooth hands free phone/audio, Skyactive technology, sweet audio system plus a ton of other stuff.

Every vehicle we have reviewed including the Mazda CX-5 has had Sirius satellite radio which never gets old because I love all of the different types of music offered as well as Howard Stern.  I also loved the touch screen display with navigation and back up camera so I could see what was behind me.

We are a family of 5 so having plenty of leg and cargo room is essential and the Mazda CX-5 didn’t disappoint.  Shaun (11 yrs old) and I are pretty tall dudes (me – 6’3 and Shaun – 5’6) and we fit in the Mazda just fine so that means if we are able to fit and be comfortable anyone can fit and be comfortable. I also loved the leather interior and the front heated seats.  It’s summer and hot here in Delaware so I didn’t test the heated seats but after the winter we just had I would have killed for heated front seats, LOL.

Trunk Space

The Mazda CX-5 had so many features that I didn’t get to test every single one but I did test as many as I could.  I feel it takes months to discover everything that a new vehicle has to offer but like I mentioned I really liked every feature that I was able to test.

Overall the Mazda CX-5 was an awesome vehicle that didn’t disappoint and I would give it 5 stars.  It met all of our families needs and wants and didn’t lack in comfort what so ever.

  1. Looks like an amazing ride and so roomy. I would love cooled seats.

  2. Angela S says:

That looks like such a comfy vehicle with plenty of leg room. It’s a car I would consider.

  3. Ths vehicle looks amazing!

  4. We have a similar problem in my family. I’m rather short, but my husband is tall and my son is getting even taller. So we’re growing out of my current car. I’m really impressed how the Mazda CX-5 worked with everyone’s height and how well it stored so much stuff, too.

  5. Ooooh it’s purdy and looks like a great family vehicle!

  6. Mazdas are my favorite cars. I test drove one through STI and had a blast!

  7. That looks pretty sharp. The heated seats would be sooooo nice in the winter.

  8. Jessica Urgelles says:

wSharp car. I have a Mazda X3 and I love it.

  9. The features really sell it. I don’t have dual temperature control, but my husband and I similarly have very different body temperatures. I don’t think I could purchase a car that didn’t have Bluetooth now that I’ve had it.

  10. So beautiful! My husband’s dream car is a Mazda …. I lurrrrrve having heated seats!

  11. Wow! That car is loaded with features! I’d love to try that out with my family! Duel control is so nice to have!

  12. We are a family of 4 so leg room is key when shopping for a car, looks like you made a good choice with the Mazda CX-5.

  13. Ah, heated seats? Yes, please!!! My next vehicle will have them. 🙂

  14. Nice legroom! Looks like a great car for a family.

  15. What a pretty car! I bet the hubs would love it!

  16. Looks really roomy! We could use something like that.

  17. Kerri says:

It looks like a great roomy car for a family of 5. Everyone needs space so that car rides with the kids are friendly ones.

  18. valmg @ Mom Knows It All says:

My oldest son is 6 ft tall. My youngest is 125 and will be with us for some time to come. Leg room is a very big concern for us.

  19. This looks very roomy! Thanks for the review!
