Remember when you were a kid and your parents would let you get the milk and that chocolate powder to make a yummy glass of chocolate milk. I do but can’t imagine these days chocolate flavored powder being the best choice for my children. With Horizon Organic Lowfat Chocolate Milk Plus DHA Omega-3 my problems are solved. Not only is the Horizon Organic Lowfat Chocolate Milk Plus DHA Omega-3 premade for me but it is also a simple way to add calcium and DHA to my and my family’s diet. DHA Omega-3 is an important nutrient that helps support heart, brain and eye health which is not only beneficial but crucial to children.

The first night my kids had the Horizon Organic Lowfat Chocolate Milk their first comment was how chocolaty the milk was over our homemade chocolate milk. They liked how rich and creamy it tasted. My kids tend to be a pain in the neck when it comes to change so for them to enjoy this tells me that it’s a quality product. An added bonus it that it is organic which is something me and Melinda really like and try to look for when buying products. The one downside for me is that Horizon Organic Lowfat Chocolate Milk Plus DHA Omega-3 is not offered in a fat-free version. I know it is 1% already but for me I can taste the difference between 1% and fat-free milk but all in all it tastes really good. We have already went through three half gallons in the last few weeks.

BH Cosmetics Palettes Recap

I’ve said it before, I love cosmetics and I especially love eye shadows. I found BH Cosmetics when I was searching YouTube for eye shadow application tutorials. It was love at first sight when I spotted these enormous cases with rainbows of color spilling out.

BH Cosmetics are known to be highly pigmented quality cosmetics but without the crazy high price tag of other brands. I’ve been using the 26 Shadow Blush Combo Palette exclusively now for a couple weeks. The colors are perfect for my everyday make-up application; neutrals that range from vanilla to violet to chocolate. The blush colors lovely but I’ve never used them for that, they are just more eye color shades for me. Other products include the super popular 120 color Eye shadow Palettes and the 88 color shimmer and matte finish palettes.

I also received the 10 piece Deluxe Brush Set (wood color). I’m completely impressed with the quality and softness of the brushes; made from natural & synthetic fibers and solid wood. My favorite brush is the Foundation Brush, the flat wide hairs are perfect for applying my powder foundation and concealer more evenly and more efficiently.
The advantage of natural hair is that it has scales which trap the makeup on the bristles. These scales hold the pigments and transfer it onto your skin effectively.

Family Fun 30 Great Games: Winter Fun for Wii Recapitulation

Its been said before, we love our Nintendo Wii. We have well over 30 games and love to add to the collection for those “I’m so bored” days. Especially with the Winter Olympic games recently wrapping up it was fun to watch them on tv and attempt them in a game.

Shaun is our key Wii player so he was the first to play this game. He was initially very frustrated with the different motions and sequences that had to be done to get his character to ski or skate. By the 2nd or 3rd time playing he had all the events covered and it has become one of his go games.

Lunch time for me is very important but with me living and working in Delaware during the week it is essential that I pack my lunches when I am home on the weekend. In the past I would make my lunch and pack it in plastic bags that I would throw away after I was done eating. Over time I realized how many plastic bags I was wasting and how harmful it was to the environment and realized I needed to make a change. My change was Easylunchbox.

Easylunchboxes are really cool three compartment containers. Think of Easylunchboxes as a modern day T.V. dinner that you put together yourself so you can make healthy choices. The largest compartment would be used for your main part of the meal then two smaller compartments for sides. Easylunchboxes are made with the highest grade polypropylene plastic (#5), a plastic that does not leach any BPA or Phthalates when heated or cooled. They are dishwasher safe and space savers as they take up very little space in the fridge as well as they can be stored inside one another when not in use.

Xtrema Cookware Recap

My family is my world and I would do anything to protect them and that is why we use Xtrema Cookware in our home. Xtrema Ceramic Cookware will leave no trace metals in your food and won’t leach chemicals from the cooking surface.

In 2004 Rich Bergstrom received an e-mail from Peter Hsu a ceramics research engineer/scientist in Taiwan asking if he was interested in a new high temperature ceramic material that could go on top of the stove and under the broiler. After that initial email three additional years of research, testing and product development took place. In February of 2007 Ceramcor, LLC was officially established in Toms River, New Jersey.

Xtrema Cookware currently has three product lines: cookware, teaware and bakeware. These products are so durable the cooking surface can’t be scratched even with metal utensils. If you are anything like me I always scratch our pots and pans because I use a metal spoon or item that I shouldn’t which then ruins the cookware. With Xtrema you no longer have to worry about that happening. Xtrema is also very versatile as it can be used on the stove then can go right into the oven and when done right to the kitchen table to be served but be sure you have something on the table to protect it from the heat. The cookware can withstand 2,700 degrees Fahrenheit so make sure you protect your hands and table.

We were really excited when we received our 10” Braiser and 6 pc Steamer set. I am first going to start by saying if you are looking for cookware that heats up in two seconds Xtrema is not for you. Xtrema is a cookware that you start on medium heat then turn down to low heat to maintain. This cookware takes time to heat up but let me tell you this it is worth the wait. We have used our braiser and steamer set over a dozen times to make meals like tacos, rice and beans, Italian sausage with onions and red peppers, eggs and breakfast links and they have all turned out terrific. When we first used our braiser and steamer set we had a slight problem. The problem was finding the right heat setting to keep our stove on since it is electric that would maintain the braisers and steamers heat. On the second meal we had it down pat and ever since then no problems at all.

All in all I am extremely impressed with Xtrema cookware. It is durable, looks great and really makes a great meal and maintains the meals heat while eating so you will never have cold seconds. If you are looking for new cookware or to replace your current cookware with an awesome green alternative you need to get Xtrema. You will be happy you did.
