Need to Get My Priorities In Order

Yesterday was a day where everyone stayed in and did nothing.  When I say nothing I mean no running around doing errands or things like that.

Shae and I played this:

And after dinner Shaun and I built this:

In case you couldn’t tell from the top picture Shae and I played Candyland. I told her I would play Hi Ho Cherrio but that didn’t work, LOL. Shaun also hounded me all morning to make the Solar Rover that he got yesterday and FINALLY we did.

Today made me realize I do not spend enough time with the kids just playing and having fun with them.  Between work, the blog, Cub Scouts and life the kids playtime with me seems to come last.  In reality they should be a priority and not last on the list.  Today was an eye opener for me and made me realize where my priorities need to be.

Wordless Wednesday – 6 Years Ago

This picture was taken almost exactly 6 years ago 11/6/04. Sabreena was 10, Shaun was 1 1/2, time sure does fly.  This was the best house for playing in leaves.

Cranium Game Scribblish

You’re never too old to play games! Hasbro has just introduced a new Cranium game; Scribblish, just in time for the holidays.

Grab your pencils and get ready to giggle. Cranium Scribblish is a hilarious new game that’s like a cool mashup of the old schoolyard favorite, “The Telephone Game” and Pictionary. Simple, outrageous, and a ton of fun. Everyone chooses a caption and draws a picture. You all then take turns adding drawings or captions. At the end can you guess which picture was yours when you started? Which one is funniest? Vote for your favorite to win!

CRANIUM SCRIBBLISH includes:

  • Six scrolls, 60 cards, timer, pad, die, tokens and instructions.
  • Includes 2 “cell” batteries.
  • Game play approx 20 minutes
  • For 4-6 players
  • Ages 8 and up.

Shaun isn’t a very good drawer so this wouldn’t be a good game for him but I’m sure my brother and sister in-law would love it. And since it’s a Cranium game you know it’s guaranteed to be fun and appropriate for the entire family.

Visit Facebook for an exclusive $2 coupon to purchase your own Cranium game or win Cranium Scribblish for your own family here at LookWhatMomFound…and Dad too! Visit Cranium and tell me another game you’ve tried or would like to try.

We’re Going On A Trip

We were invited here
So today we will be heading to Langhorne, PA and needless to say we are pretty excited to go since we have not been since 2006 when Shaun was 3 years old.  This will be Shae’s first trip to Sesame Place and we are really excited to check out The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular.
Maybe I can get Shaun to go on this with me

Look for a full review with pictures and all in the next week. In the meantime be sure to follow Sesame Place on Twitter.

A Perfect Beach Day

Our weekend was spent “down the shore” thanks to Rob’s participation in Bike MS City to Shore. We greeted him at the finish line and immediately headed to the beach.  The weather was gorgeous; the sun was shining and there was a great breeze as we got closer and closer to the boardwalk.  I figured the water would be too cold this time of year but brought the sand toys for the kids to play and build and dig.
It only took Shaun a couple minutes and he was in the surf.  The day was perfect.

Are Your Kids Like This

So yesterday morning I was playing Leap Frog Bingo with Shae and she won the first game so she wanted to play another game.  The second game I won and this is where it began.  She told me she wanted to win and started to pout.  Shae then asked to play a third time and against my better judgement I palyed and won again and again she pouted and said she wanted to win.  Why do kids do this? LOL.

Kids are sore sports sometimes and don’t like to lose but I think all kids are like this (I hope so anyway for my kids sake).  I can remember Sabreena now 14 crying when she didn’t win a game and then would refuse to play anymore.  Shaun was the same way as Sabreena.  Shae is a little more tame. Shae will pout and whine a little bit will play again.  She is probably hoping to win so she can rub it in my face.  When Shae wins she like to tell me she is a winner and I’m a loser.  LOL.

Are your kids like this when playing games or is it just mine?

Wordless Wednesday – Bee Family

This was from our trip to Milburn Orchards. Melinda insisted we all pose for this picture.
