Raising Money to Create a World Free of MS

Rob does and he needs help from anyone and everyone.
Every hour of every day, another American is diagnosed with MS — we need to take action now to help the growing number of people affected by this disease. I will be riding in Bike MS: City to Shore to help the 13,000 local people living with this devastating disease.

Today, there is no cure for MS, but we’re fighting to change that.

Bike MS City To Shore 2011

any donation will be greatly appreciated

For the last 4 years Rob has been participating in multiple Bike MS rides in Maryland and New Jersey. The 2-day, 175 mile City to Shore Ride 2011 is coming up and Rob is scrambling to raise the necessary funds to ride along with 2 of oour friends. He wasn’t positive if he was going to make it but we moved around some plans and now he’s determined to get to his $300 minimum requirement goal. In years past he’s raised more than the minimum but this year it’s been difficult. Mostly in part to his late sign-up but also to his hating to ask for money.

National MS Society City to Shore Ride 2011-Donate Here

So I’ll do it for him. We are asking for ANY donation possible since each dollar will bring him closer to his goal. Could you reach into your hearts and wallets and help him Create a World Free of MS along with 7,000 other riders.

According to National MS Society

Where do the funds from Bike MS go?

Multiple sclerosis stops people from moving. We exist to make sure it doesn’t.

The National MS Society uses the funds raised through Bike MS to fuel medical research and provide more services than any other organization in the world. We help local people through essential direct services that empower and increase independence, including:

· Specialized MS clinics
· Education and information
· Home/vehicle modifications
· Emergency financial assistance
· Medical supplies
· Home care
· Support groups
· Family programs

Ordinary people, just like you, are taking extraordinary challenges to make this a world free of MS. Are you up for the challenge?

You can help by making a donation. All you have to do it click on the banner at the top of our blog or at the top of this post and you will be redirected to Rob’s MS page.

Wordless Wednesday – Finish Line of My MS Ride

This was at the finish line of the City to Shore MS ride this past Saturday in Ocean City, NJ.  Forgive how I look as I was on my bike for 100 miles.  And yes Shae is crying in the second picture because she wasn’t happy that it took me so long to get to the finish.

Riding To Help Find A Cure For MS

This morning at about 6:30 am I will be on the road riding 100 miles from Cherry Hill, NJ to Ocean City, NJ helping find a cure for MS in the City to Shore Ride.  This will be my second time doing this ride and my third MS ride total.  I will be riding for Team Campbell’s (father in law works for them) and I am pretty excited for the ride.
This is my first century ride this year so hopefully I will finish strong.  If I feel good at the end of the ride Saturday I will ride Sunday from Ocean City, NJ back to Cherry Hill, NJ this time for a total of 75 miles.  If I don’t feel good at the end of Saturday I will be riding back to Cherry Hill, NJ in the car with Melinda and the kids as they will be meeting me at the finish line in Ocean City.
After the ride I am going to get a massage at the finish like for $15 then stuff my face to refuel and then head to the beach with Melinda and the kids to relax and have fun.
