Winning the Persnicketea gift basket from The Mom Buzz a couple weeks back was AWESOME. What was even better was getting such a gigantic prize, seriously I hit the motherload of tea. The package came and I didn’t recognize the return address so when I opened it up and saw all the pretty tins I was literally doing a happy dance. Since I had just finished my 2nd cup of “regular” tea that day I made space for it in my cabinets and planned for a cup in the morning.
With the days errands ahead I brewed myself Carrot Cake; a blend of organic rooibos tea, carrot, spice and nuts, it was absolutely delicious. The hint of carrot cake flavor gave it a subtle sweetness but didn’t overpower the actual tea flavor. The following morning I gave Domestic Diva a try; a soothing Chai tea with added chocolate and spices, this one also hits the spot. I have a couple more to try out but I’m sure I won’t be disappointed.
Holding that hot mug in your hands and breathing in the freshness of mint or the spicyness of cinnamon is like taking a break from the world. This is what Persnicketea wants us mothers to do, take a time out for ourselves. This is one of my New Years Resolutions, I might even make a night of it take a cup into my craft corner and do a little scrapbooking.
