Scholastic Books Christmas Prize Pack Giveaway

Books, Books and more Books! Scholastic has released 2 great stories just in time for Christmas; It’s Christmas David and Captain Blue Sky.

It’s Christmas David
Christmas is coming, and Santa Claus is making his list. David is trying to be good, but when the house is filled with candy canes, Christmas cookies and beautifully wrapped gifts, it’s very hard to stay out of trouble! From wayward snowballs to the sleepless excitement of Christmas Eve, best-selling author David Shannon perfectly captures the joy and laughter of the holiday season.

Captain Sky Blue
Santa brings Jack his best toy pal, Captain Sky Blue, a pilot. Sky speaks in Pilot Talk (“Roger! Wilco!”). After a thunderstorm separates Sky and his buddy (“Mayday!”), Sky is abducted by a whale, then left alone to wander a frigid ocean floor until he chances upon a very special place, a place where he’s been before (“Now I’m spooled up!”). Captain Sky Blue thinks he has finally found an easy way home, but first he must help Santa out on Christmas Eve –a challenge that puts his pilot skills to the test! From Caldecott Medal Winner author Richard Egielski.

Books are a great gift for kids of any age; I try every year to get a book or two for the children in my family to keep the love going. Scholastic has always been a great service for getting great titles at great prices for all the kids in our family. Whether you’re ordering books from one of the many Scholastic Book Clubs, attending a local book fair or checking out the features in Parent and Child Magazine, Scholastic is determined to improve global literacy and build strong book lovers.

To celebrate the release of these books Scholastic wants to giveaway A HUGE SCHOLASTIC HOLIDAY PRIZE PACK which features the following books (Prize Pack Valued at $89.75)
• Captain Sky Blue

Chose from 1 of 5 Price Pfister Faucets Being Given Away!

People say the kitchen is one of the most important “rooms” in the house and I tend to agree so when I was contact by Price Pfister  to review one of three bathroom faucets or one of two kitchen faucets I chose the kitchen faucet.

We had a Glacier Bay kitchen faucet that wasn’t in the best working order so I was excited when I received the Ashfield Pull-down Kitchen Faucet.  They offer the Ashfield Pull-down Kitchen Faucet in a 2 or 4 hole design with a matching soap dispenser.  It comes in three finishes: Stainless Steel, Rustic Bronze and Tuscan Bronze which brings a bit of vintage décor to any home.  We opted for the Stainless Steel and I must admit it looks sharp with our sink and counter top configuration.  It was easy to install and works awesome. We have deep sinks and I like that you can pull the faucet out to clean the sink and when you are done it clicks back into place so it isn’t just dangling like our old faucet did.

Price Pfister has been trusted since 1910 as a leader in the plumbing industry for nearly a century.  They offer so many kitchen and bath faucets as well as shower heads and bath accessories you will be certain to find something that matches your taste.  Price Pfister backs every product with a guarantee of quality that covers both finish and function for life.  How can you go wrong with a product that is so certain of its craftsman ship it will guarantee it for life!  Price Pfister strives to offer the best design, quality, service and value.

Photobucket

I know there are a lot of different kitchen and bath faucet manufactures on the market but I am serious when I say Price Pfister in my opinion is the best and offers the best selection of products.

Ok, now it’s time to win a Price Pfister faucet of your own. Please select from one of the five faucets listed below and tell me which one you want to receive if you win.

Kitchen Faucets:

  1. Avanti Pull-down Kitchen Faucet
  2. Ashfield Pull-down Kitchen Faucet

Bathroom Faucets:

  1. Contempra
  2. Selia
  3. Ashfield Trough Faucet

Superstructs Custom Buildable Construction Gift Giveaway

Personalized gifts are cool and kids love seeing their names on things no matter if it’s a keychain, notepad or even their lunchbox. Superstructs, vibrant plastic rod and connector style construction toys, is now creating customized kits perfect for the holidays or birthdays. With more than 24,000 possible combinations, it’s easy to customize a kit to a child’s taste.

First you choose which Superstructs sets you want, which start at just $9.99, you then get to customize the box with the child’s name and the occasion. It’s a pretty simple process and the finished product you receive in the mail looks awesome.

For Shae I chose the funny car, dragster and boom truck and crane.  I then customized it to say Merry Christmas Shae which I think she is going to go absolutely nuts over.  It was hard for me to select which three items I wanted in my custom kit because I like them all.  Superstructs will be my new go to gift for birthdays because they are universal for girls and boys and customizable.

Another cool thing is Superstructs kits are receiving attention in the industry by receiving the following awards: prestigious Fall 2010 Parents’ Choice Recommended Award,  Dr. Toy: 100 Best Children’s Products and 10 Best Creative Products for 2010.

WABA Fun designs, manufactures and markets a line of award-winning construction toys under the Superstructs brand name and target children ages 3 and up and exceed all current US and European toy safety standards.  WABA Fun is committed to developing products that inspire imagination and encourage children to be creative during their playtime.

Be sure to enter coupon code KQPPB5PB for 40% off of one of the company’s best-selling kits, the BIG Builder, a 126-piece set for ages 4-11, normally $41.95. The code expires 1/31/2011.

Win your very own Superstructs Custom Kit and select up to 3 models.  All you need to do is head over to Superstructs and tell me something that wasn’t mentioned in this review.

$25 GC Giveaway to Maukilo.com

Buy Once. Play Forever. I like that motto. This is the mission behind Maukilo. Toys should last a lifetime, not just a season. Timeless pieces like wooden blocks, cloth dolls and musical instruments should be around to entertain more than just one child. These are the toys that should be cherished for lifetimes.

Haba, Automoblox and PlaSmart are just a couple of the quality and innovative brands that can be found on Maukilo. Whether you’re looking for soft play toys for a baby or educational puzzles for older kids you’re going to find it at Maukilo.

The Lulu Flower Mini Knit Doll from Blabla is hand-knitted from the finest cotton and slightly under stuffed for that cuddly feel.  We received this item for our one year old niece to play with while she is at our house during the day and she loves it.  She hugs it and walks around the house with either its leg or arm in hand.  In my opinion it is a super soft doll and I can see why kids would love to cuddle this doll.  I think I might need to get one for myself, LOL.

Start baby off on the right foot with a baby registry of only the toys you want; those that don’t require batteries, those that stimulate positive reflexes and those free of toxins and unhealthy materials. With the holidays right around the corner compile a wishlist for a child of any age and point the grandparents, extended family and friends to shop for just the right gift.

Win a $25 GC to Maukilo just by telling me what you would add to your child’s wishlist this year.

Shopping Nanny Couponing & Shopping System and $100 VISA GC Giveaway

You check out circulars, clip coupons and watch for sales. All that time spent but do you see it benefiting your wallet? Shopping Nanny is the newest tool out there to help you sort, search and plan out your shopping trips to maximize your dollar without wasting time.

The Shopping Nanny looks for opportunities to combine sales, coupons, special offers, and store specials to often double, triple or even quadruple your savings. Sometimes, you can even get products for free!

The Shopping Nanny works a couple different ways.
Tell Shopping Nanny your favorite stores, enter your loyalty cards and select the offers/coupons/deals you would like to take advantage of. Depending on your particular store those deals will be “deposited right onto your card OR they will have to be printed.

I really like the concept of having digital coupons put right onto a card. Not only does this eliminate time spent clipping, sorting, filing, finding and matching but it also eliminates the waste produced. If I can hope on the computer, make my shopping list, “check” off the coupons I’m going to use then the process is going to be much smoother and no more forgetting the coupon book in the car.

The Shopping Nanny will also alert you when there is a coupon or special offer available at one of your selected stores if you add it to your list. For example, I added breakfast sausage to this weeks list and up popped up a message saying 1 Store Special along with the brand and price. I find the more generic you are with your description the better. Type in cereal and see ALL offers but type in Kix and you’ll only see a coupon for that one brand.

Once your done prepping, print your list and coupons (for advanced members), load your deals onto your card (available for selected stores) and head out for guaranteed savings.

*If you spend more than $90 per week on groceries and use Shopping Nanny’s list feature, they guarantee you’ll save $40 per month or your next month is free.

I’m just getting used to the site and the quirks and functionality so I can’t attest to the savings guarantee but I will be sitting down with our standard list and discussing with Rob how we can incorporate this into our shopping excursions. He does 90% of the grocery shopping so this is something he would have to be willing to try out and commit to. A free membership gives some decent functionality but the inability to print your shopping list and some other features. But for $5.95/month you get complete access to all printing features, tools and services.  Try their FREE 2 week trial which gives complete access to the entire program, no obligation.

To help with your shopping whether it’s for groceries, household goods or holiday gifts, the Shopping Nanny wants to giveaway a $100 Visa Gift Card to one lucky LookWhatMomFound…and Dad too! reader. Visit Shopping Nanny, sign up for an account (free or paid) and tell me 2 coupons/deals/specials are available at your preferred shopping sites.

Shutterfly for Holiday Cards and Gifts Giveway

It’s here, holiday season. Along with the family gatherings, gift giving and excessive baking or eating you’re responsible for sending out greeting cards to everyone in your phone book. For many years I was on top of this task and always used Shutterfly not just for holiday cards but for calendars, gifts and extra prints.

This year Shutterfly has released some exclusive holiday designs that include currents trends like “Support A Cause” fundraising cards, classics such as snowflakes and mistletoe plus modern designs like circles and Story Card options. No matter how much time you spend on Facebook and Twitter updating profiles and uploading pictures, nothing beats a card in the mail with the newest family photo. My parents live 7 minutes down the road and I’ll still mail them a card because I know it’ll bring a smile to their face.

Shutterfly is also offering a new solution to the common holiday newsletter: the Holiday Story Card. Story Cards feature spaces for one or multiple photos, with corresponding text space for sharing highlights of the year. On many Story Card designs, there is space for 10 lines of additional text, the perfect amount for sharing without over-sharing.

One of my favorite designs on Shutterfly’s site is Initially Elegant. With 3 kids I need as much surface space I can get. This particular card lets the photos be the card. The messages can be written inside but the first look will be of the kid’s cute faces.

Are you planning on holiday cards this year? Let Shutterfly be there for you to choose the most unique and stylish design around. Be 1 of 2 winners to receive 25 holiday cards of their choice. Visit Shutterfly and tell me which 2 designs you like best.

Holiday Wishlist 2010-Simon & Lucy My Story Necklace Giveaway

Gift giving should be from the heart whether it’s Christmas, Mother’s Day or a Birthday. Give mom the gift of love and honor this Holiday Season with a My Story personalized necklace from Simon and Lucy.

simon and lucy my story necklace

I design and hand stamp a collection that I call: the My Story collection. I love to design a piece for a person that encompasses everything important to them from the past, present and perhaps the future. It’s a unique process that allows me to learn a little bit about the person I am designing for in order to design a necklace just for them. Even if you don’t know where to start, I do and I will help you through the process and make it relatively painless for you.

It’s quite magical when my clients see their necklace and they start reminiscing as they look at each charm. I LOVE it and so do they!

All pieces are one-of-a-kind and created with you in mind.

A My Story necklace is a custom piece of jewelry that tells your story, your journey, your life, your future. Included are the details closest to you; children’s names, birthdates, symbols and more. Earlier in the year I received my own My Story necklace; it included of course my kid’s names, my nieces, my parents, a blue crystal to symbolize my birthstone and a special pendant for my mother, a very special person on my life.

Simon and Lucy want to giveaway another My Story necklace (value $155) this season. Visit Simon and Lucy and tell me what you would include in your necklace. If you are giving this to someone else, what do you think they would include.
