Who doesn’t love a lazy day in warm jammies and comfy slippers? Do you know how to make that even better, big fuzzy, cozy Bunny Slippers. Bunny Slippers.com is your source for bunny and other animal slippers.

When BunnySlippers.com asked me to choose 1 pair to try out it was simple, classic bunny slippers. Don’t get me wrong, the Fuzzy Bumblebee slippers and the Hippo slippers were contenders but I knew I had to go with classic.

These slippers are squishy soft and super comfortable and with a rubber bottom that allows me wear them outside to get the mail or sit on the deck without threat of ruining from rough concrete or wetness. These bunnies come equipped with a fuzzy tail, long whiskers and adjustable wire framed ears. The overstuffed body truly resembles a stuffed animal, so much so that Shae often rests her head on my feet and more often steals them from me to wear herself.

The details are well thought out from the firmly affixed eyes to the soft velour nose. Construction and quality is phenomenal; there is no risk of these falling apart anytime soon, I’m sure to see years of use out of these cuties.

BunnySlippers.com wants to give LookWhatMomFound readers a chance to win a pair of furry goodness for yourself.

VISIT BunnySlippers and sign up for their mailing list, this also enters you into their weekly drawing for a pair of slippers. Come back and tell me your fave pair of slippers!

Sorry for the second post I didnt leave my name or email RoadKing62@comcast.net and my name is Lauren Goodwin. The doctor has told me I really need to start walking; however the dog ate my sneakers (yes this is true) but it isnt in my budget right now. I would love love to win!!! At their site the HRT is cool since I have to track that too!

I’m trying to get into better shape for summer. I bought some clothes as motivation and I bought some workout DVDs to get me moving. New Balance helped out even more with a pair of great running shoes and supportive sports bra. I’m not a huge sneaker wearer so when I told New Balance what I wanted to use them for they picked out the perfect pair.

749 Features MSRP $80
Mild stability trainer for endurance runners looking for a smooth stable ride
Bright, bold styling
Medial post located on inside of shoe-designed to help with over-pronation control
Stability Web and NLOCK® integrated lacing system ensure optimal fit support and security
ABZORB® cushioning in both heel and forefoot for exceptional shock absorption
Air mesh upper offers lightweight, breathable support
NDurance & Acirc rubber compound for maximum outsole durability

I’ve been wearing these shoes for over a week and working out and walking they are comfortable and fit great. I have to say New Balance seems to run true to size in comparison to other shoes I’m purchased in the past. I do want to add that I tend to have problems with my arches but New Balance quickly offered a solution and now I’m feeling better results already.

I’ve mentioned in the past that I’m a large breasted woman. One of the biggest problems I’ve had with exercise is finding that perfect system to keep them supported throughout the session. I’ve been trying sports bra after sports bra. I found a solution; wear a sports bra than put on a tight fitting tank with built in shelf bra for more support. This wasn’t the most comfortable or supportive method.

The High Profile Crop ($60 MSRP) is a prosthesis-friendly, high impact sports bra with three points of adjustability for a customized fit. The bra is equipped with an adjustable bottom band, removable pads and padded hook and loop shoulder straps with internal stabilizers for decreased movement. The Lightning DryTM moisture-wicking liner features engineered pockets to hold prostheses or nursing pads while a front locking zipper ensures a secure fit during rigorous workouts.
This sports bra fit great, no more need to layer on a tank with bra. It really gave me all the support I needed, no more jiggling and bouncing. It took a little trial and error to get the perfect fit but the adjusting is super simple. Regardless of bra size every woman is going to benefit from support and stability while running, aerobics or playing in the park with your kids.
I’m now on my way to a more productive endeavor at a healthier lifestyle and exercise regimen thank to New Balance. I signed up for a run/walk in a few weeks in Philadelphia; I’ll let you all know how it goes.

SoundSleep for Babies and Moms

I’m a person that prefers noise to fall asleep; my kids are the same way. Whether it’s a fan or the television or music softly playing any background noise is comforting to me. Shae and Shaun both go to sleep with music each night and Sabreena has a bonus of having a noisy dehumidifier in the basement bedroom.

I was recently sent the SoundSleep for Babies CD from Sound Science. Using advanced WombEffect Technology this CD uses actual womb recordings the sounds that babies hear while in mommy’s belly but with quiet relaxing music in the backdrop. SoundSleep allows babies to associate the sounds on the CD with the peaceful, safe and cozy environment they were used to for 9 months. The idea is that reintroducing babies to the environment when they were in the womb would aid in relaxation and self soothing.

Shae’s usual bedtime routine is quick. She get a minute or two of rocking then wants to get in her crib. The first time I tried the SoundSleep CD she sat in my lap for several minutes longer and even but her head on my chest. I thought maybe she was just a little cuddlier that night so I tried it again the next night. This time I put my head back and felt very relaxed, not necessarily sleepy but I felt calm and cuddly right with her. I’m not sure if Shae remembers the sounds of the womb but I do think this CD is soothing and calming and she feels that.

This would make a fantastic baby shower gift. We’ve all had those fussy moments and need all the help we can get. To purchase your own SoundSleep CD directly through Sound Science or even download the MP3 directly to your device.

Forever Lily-An Adoption Story

Beth Nonte Russell went to China to be a support system for her friend Alex who was adopting a baby girl. Little did she know that this was the beginning of an exciting adventure that will change her life forever.

Forever Lily is the story of Beth Nonte Russell stumbling into motherhood when her friend decides she cannot handle the situation. The depictions of China are vivid and help you truly imagine her surroundings. The instant bond Russell has with this frail little girl is heart-warming.
“Russell, watching in disbelief as Alex distances herself from the child, cares for the baby — clothing, bathing, and feeding her — and makes her feel secure in the unfamiliar surroundings. Russell is overwhelmed and disoriented by the unfolding drama and all that she sees in China, and yet amid the emotional turmoil finds herself deeply bonding with the child. She begins to have dreams of an ancient past — dreams of a young woman who is plucked from the countryside and chosen to be empress, and of the child who is ultimately taken from her. As it becomes clear that her friend — whose indecisiveness about the adoption has become a torment — won’t be bringing the baby home, Russell is amazed to realize that she cannot leave the baby behind and that her dreams have been telling her something significant, giving her the courage to open her heart and bring the child home against all odds.

Steeped in Chinese culture, Forever Lily is an extraordinary account of a life-changing, wholly unexpected love. “

While I don’t understand how Russell can step in and “take” her without the years of paperwork and home-studies and waitlists I guess the book wasn’t meant to explain these things. Adoption has been a big part of my life so I’m familiar with some of the legalities and red-tape, that is the only reason I wonder these things.

Overall the story is touching and sweet and a fantastic glimpse into this life-changing journey.
Using this experience, Beth Nonte Russel was also able to capture the moments and essence of her daughter Lily in a fragrance called Forever lily.

“An enveloping Oriental blend created to aid the wearer in opening the heart and reaching the for the highest within them.”

I found the scent to be sweet and warm not overpowering like other Oriental blends I’ve experienced. I’ve worn it a couple times and actually really like it.

Sk8Grl is about More than just Clothes

Being the mom to a teenage girl I have to be conscious of the message that clothing designers send to the market. Sexy isn’t a message I read to well. I’ve found a unique alternative that fits Sabreena’s lifestyle as well as fashion needs.

Started by Holly Lyons, World Cup Skateboarding Champion, Sk8Grl.com is a premier clothing brand created for girls who love skateboarding and the lifestyle. Sk8Grl is also one of the only clothing companies working towards building self-esteem and character in our girls. A Sk8Grl is someone who loves freedom, fun and wants to positively impact her environment.

“Sk8Grl is all about inspiring and empowering girls to follow their dreams, believe in them self and know they can have fun, stay feminine, and rip on a skateboard. Through community and exposure we can make female skateboarding bigger and better”

Holly Lyons was sweet enough to answer some questions from Sabreena. Check out what they had to say.

  1. What/Who got you started skateboarding? I got into skating when I was a teenager. My sister was friends with these pro skaters, so we would go and watch them at a mini ramp at this one guys house. I thought it was so beautiful and I have never been one to just sit and watch. I started dating one of the guys and he hooked me up with a skateboard and some t-shirts.
  2. Who do you look up to in the skateboarding world? I look up to Chris Miller a lot. He owns a successful company, Planet Earth and Adio. He’s a really good person, a great husband and father. He is also the smoothest and most graceful skater I have ever seen. It’s always fun to skate with Chris.
  3. How long do you skateboard in a day? Depends, generally for a couple of hours.
  4. What injuries have you sustained? Many….I just had reconstructive surgery on my wrist, I have torn my mcl on both knees, my left knee twice. I tore my acl snowboarding and had surgery, and was also knocked out for 10 minutes and had a contusion in my brain. That was scary, my mind was skipping a lot for quite a while. I have broken bones in both hands, chronic back pain which is a lot better due to chiropractic work, yoga and exercise. I have had so many cuts, bruises and scrapes I wouldn’t know where to start It’s funny, but they were all worth it at the time and I don’t have any regrets because I learned a lot from every incident.
  5. What advice can you give to teen girls about their futures? Well, everybody is different. Skateboarding is getting bigger and better and there are so more girls skating than ever, which is so cool. I think if you love to skate then skate. If you are skating because you want to be sponsored or get free stuff then you are in it for the wrong reasons. It takes a certain kind of person to be able to withstand the injuries and keep going forward. You have to be tough because no matter who you are, you will get hurt. This also is the same with love, life, relationships or whatever. There will be the ups and the downs. Wise teachers say “It doesn’t matter what happens to you, it’s how you react to it.” When something happens it just is, it is your response that determines if something is “good” or “bad”. So, you have to skate because you just can’t image not skating. That’s how it’s been for me and trust me it’s been a colorful journey to say the least 🙂
  6. What is the future of Sk8Grl? Hopefully we will keep growing and making a positive difference for girls in skateboarding and in life. We are all about inspiring and empowering girls to believe in them self, go for it, and know they can always stay feminine and be strong! We aspire to be the ROXY of girls skateboarding and be sold worldwide. We want to have a very interactive website where girls can become friends and find out about each other, have girls design shirts and vote on the designs, then have them made and pay them a royalty. We want every girl to be part of the company itself through design projects like that and more. We want every girl to be part of the Sk8Grl world and know that their voice counts and that they can be anything they set their mind to. We want Sk8Grl to be the girls voice in skating!

If you board, ride, skate or just enjoy the lifestyle, Sk8Grl is an image you can be proud to wear. The designs are flirty, feminine, unique and stylish, something I don’t mind Sabreena wearing.
