Holiday Wishlist 2010 – Melissa and Doug Recap

Most of you probably know we love Melissa and Doug Baby and Toddler Toys in a big way.  I would almost say in a stalker kind of way, LOL.  We have had Melissa and Doug toys in the house since Shaun was a baby and he is now seven.  I can’t even tell you how many things Shae has from the lemonade stand to numerous play food sets.

Something about Melissa and Doug toys just draws me in.  Back over the summer we were at Border’s and I saw a huge section of items and we bought Shae the pizza set.  I liked the pizza set so much I went back two days later and got her the birthday cake set.  Melissa and Doug toys are built with imagination in mind for the little ones and big ones who will play with them.

We are excited to have received for overview the Purse Fill and Spill and the Mailbox Fill and Spill for our two nieces.  They are still babies but the thought of them growing up with Melissa and Doug toys like Shaun and Shae did is a really cool thought.  The toys are quality made and will last a long time no matter how hard you beat them up.

Here is a brief description of the Mailbox Fill and Spill:

Soft plush mailbox full of happy greetings for your baby. Peek inside through the see-through back panel, raise the flag and open the door to remove your mail. Find envelopes for many special occasions with removable stamps and other treats. Put them in, take them out, it’s always good news. Constructed of high quality fabrics and plastic for durable play. Recommended Ages: 2+ years

Here is a brief description of the Purse Fill and Spill:

Everything necessary for the little girl on the go! This soft play set includes a cell phone that chimes, a key ring with keys, a change purse with coins, and a compact with a child-safe mirror. Everything is easily removed and replaced into a charming purse with a purple handle. Constructed of high quality fabrics and plastic, this durable set will provide hours of pretend fun! Recommended Ages: 18+ months

If you have children on your holiday list this season check out Melissa and Doug as they have a great selection of baby and toddler toys and you can be sure they will have something for everyone.

Melissa and Doug is giving one lucky Look What Mom Found…and Dad too! reader a chance to win the mailbox fill and spill and the purse fill and spill.  Head over to Melissa and Doug and tell me what other products you like and if you win who will get this prize.

Holiday Wishlist 2010 – Powermat

If you are anything like my family then you have nine million things that need to be charged. In our house we have three cell phones, two blue tooth devices, three iPod’s and a Nintendo DS and were in desperate need of a charging station.  Thank goodness we got a chance to analyse the Home & Office Mat with Powercube from Powermat.

The home and office mat with Powercube is really cool because you can charge up to three devices at one time by either using a receiver or the Powercube.  Powermat also offers portable mats for that person who is always on the go.  The Powercube comes with either 2 tips : Mini USB and Micro USB or 8 tips : Mini USB, Micro USB, Samsung, LG, Apple, Nintendo DSi, Nintendo DS Lite, Sony PSP making it a very universal device.   The Powercube is what I use to charge my Blackberry 8530, Melinda’s Samsung Fascinate and both of our Jawbone Icon Bluetooth’s.  The Powercube allows you to charge hundreds of devices wirelessly.

The Powermat to me is the most versatile charging system out on the market today with so many different options it would be hard to find a device that it wouldn’t charge.  It is simple to use with its audio confirmation which is a unique sound that lets you know your device is connected properly and charging.  The Powermat also had auto shut off and full charge check allowing you to save energy and not overcharge your device.  It is also a very affordable system versus having to buy multiple home chargers for your cell phone, Bluetooth or any other device you might need to charge at home or while in the office.

If you are looking for a device that is slim, sleek and allows you charge many devices with one plug then you need to get yourself or that gadget person on your holiday list a Powermat.

Want a Powermat of your own head over to Powermat and tell me what item or items you like or something cool about the products.

My Kids Love Halloween

So last night was Halloween and my kids love this day and have been excited about it for a while.  Actually what kid wouldn’t love this day. This is the only day where you can go to other peoples houses that you don’t know and ask for free candy.  Sounds like a win win to me for any kid.

Shae was Velma and she looked so good and Shaun was a soldier and he looked awesome as well.  We did a little Trick or Treating and I think the kids did pretty well but not as well in years past.  I am assuming it had something to do with the economy but who knows.  I remember in years past most houses would give out candy but not anymore.  This year I would say maybe 1-10 houses were giving out candy.

All in all it was a pretty good Halloween.  A little chilly but still a great night.
