Safeway Has Your Baking Needs Covered – Giveaway

One of my favorite things about the holidays other than seeing my kids open gifts on Christmas morning are baked goods.  Nothing beats homemade cookies, brownies, cupcakes, etc and they seem extra plentiful around this time of year.

We received a gift basket last week filled with a ton of awesome goodness like cupcake mixes, icing, fondant and decorating kit.  Needless to say once the kids spotted the basket they harassed us non-stop the entire week to make every single thing in the basket.  Sunday morning we finally got out all of the items we were planning on using and got to work.  The kids made the cupcakes first then we needed to wait about an hour or two for them to cool before we could decorate them which you think was weeks long since the kids asked every ten minutes if the cupcakes were cooled. Once the cupcakes were cooled is when the real fun began.  The kids piped on the icing with the cake decorating tips and pastry bags then moved on to rolling out and using the red, green and blue fondant.  For me the best part of this little baking session was spending time together as a family and watching the kids have a great time decorating their cupcakes.  We probably spent a total of two to three hours working on the cups cakes which like I said was a lot of fun.  Are their cupcakes going to win an award for the pretties or best decorated, nope but I will say we had a really awesome time relaxing and having a great time as a family.  For me baking is a time not only to make some really sweet treats for the family to enjoy it’s also a great time to bond and get closer as a family.

NIVEA Allows Me to Look and Feel Good

Looking and feeling good is extremely important and it can set your tone for the whole day.  Recently I received a few Nivea products that make me feel and look really good.

Here is what I received:

I gave the body wash to Shaun as I still use old fashion bar soap and he loves it.  He told me he likes how it makes him smell after his shower which is funny considering he is only 9 years old.  I guess Shaun wants to smell good for the girls at school.  I have been using the face wash as well as the post shave balm and am very pleased so far.  I have sensitive skin which means I break out pretty easy so I am always looking for a face wash that will clean my face without breaking me out and so far the Nivea face wash has been doing just that.  I also LOVE the post shave balm because again I have sensitive skin especially my neck area so my skin often gets irritated after I shave and the post shave balm has really helps sooth my skin.

All in all I am very happy with the Nivea for Men products because they make me feel good and feeling good gives you that confidence you need to get through the day. ET’s Hanging with the Stars Sweepstakes

Norelco Senso Touch 3D Evalutation

I am not sure where I stand when it comes to shaving but I would love to know if I am the minority or the majority.  Do men love to shave?  I will be honest and say I 100% hated shaving until I received the Norelco Senso Touch 3D electric shaver. I would think ahead on what days I would have to shave for work and knew those days I would be irritated.

I know you are going to say that I need to say that because I received this for consideration but I am serious when I say this is the best shaver I have ever tried. I still don’t love to shave but I also don’t hate it like I used to.  My skin is extremely sensitive so I could only shave in the shower when my face was wet and the hairs were soft otherwise my skin would get so irritated and cut up but with the Senso Touch 3D I am able to shave when I get out of the shower with no problems at all.

The Norelco Senso Touch 3D (1290x) is a wet and dry electric shaver so I now have options.  I can use the shaver in the shower if I want which I still haven’t done or once I get out which I have done probably 25 times already.  With a tradition razor and shaving cream I would only shave twice a week otherwise my face would be all messed up but now that I am using the Norelco Senso Touch 3D I am able to shave daily with ZERO problems meaning no skin irritation or anything.  When I was in college I tried using an electric shaver and I HATED it so I was very hesitant when I received the Senso Touch 3D but I am pleasantly surprised and will NEVER go back to my old razor, we are through!!!

The Norelco Senso Touch 3D is super easy to use as well as clean.  It has given me a shave that my traditional razor could never give me.  It is close and like I mentioned it doesn’t irritate my skin which is huge because I wouldn’t shave just so I could avoid the uncomfortable feeling.  I’ve never used an electric razor and heard lots of things like it would take weeks for your skin to get used to it but the 1st night I was impressed.  Instead of shaving 2-3 times a week I can now shave nightly if I want and not worry about my skin afterwards.

The Senso Touch 3D is a shaver that I will be using for very long time.
