Sleep Number M7 Memory Foam Bed Review

I am going to start this review by saying the item I am about to describe has changed our life forever in a good way. Actually in a great way and it’s the Sleep Number M7 Memory Foam Bed.

About a month or so before being contacted to do this review Melinda and I actually looked at Sleep Number beds and discussed trading in our old pillow top queen bed for one and I am so thankful for this review because our M7 is amazing.

After we were told about this awesome opportunity Melinda and I visited the Sleep Number store in Christina, DE where we were given a 3D fitting known as Perfect Fit and Mark (Awesome guy) showed us how the bed works and how our bodies touch different parts of the bed at different numbers which I found extremely useful as well as amazing. I always thought all beds were created equal but I now know that isn’t the case. Mark was super patient and knowledgeable and answered EVERY question we had even after he knew we were there for a review and he wasn’t going to make a sale. That didn’t stop him from making our visit very relaxed, thanks again Mark and Sleep Number. This visit also allowed me to figure out what my sleep number is which is 50 so when our bed arrived I already knew where I needed to be. Melinda likes her side a touch softer than I do so her sleep number is 40.

Let me say again this bed is nothing short of amazing and I am in love finally. In the beginning my love wasn’t so strong it was more of a very strong like, LOL. It took a solid three to four days for my body to get used to the Sleep Number bed and that is because my body was finally able to sleep naturally like it should have been doing for the last thirty something years (don’t want to disclose my age, LOL). You may have a totally different initial result than Melinda and I did but after the first three to four days all of our problems went away and now we are both sleeping like champs.

I will say that the 3-inches of CoolFit foam with gel technology does work because I tend to be that guy that sweats during the night but that hasn’t been the case since receiving the M7. Overall Melinda and I are extremely happy and impressed with out new bed so far. Another thing that I love about the M7 is that this bed is designed and crafted in the USA!!!

The sleep number M7 fits standard bedroom furniture and your box spring will be replaced with a modular base which comes with the mattress. Our bed was installed for us but the process seemed fairly simple so if you ever needed to move the bed you would be able to do so on your own. What I found amazing was from the time the installers pulled into our driveway from the time they pulled out of the driveway was 30 minutes exactly and that was with them moving our old bed to the garage. I also disturbed them some to take a lot of pictures as well as asking them a lot of questions about how their day was and how many installs they still had left to do for the day. Even with all of my pictures and talking they were still able to be in and out in 30 now that is what I call fast efficient service.

We have had the bed about 2 weeks now and other than the first couple of days we absolutely love our Sleep Number bed. I also want to mention that if you are planning on buying any accessories for your new bed I would highly recommend the Sleep Number Total Protection Mattress pad. If you are like me you are going to look at the price and say it’s only a mattress pad but that is not the case. It is waterproof, stain resistant and hypoallergenic and we have put the first two to the test after our dog lost his mind and decided to pee on our two week old bed. Nothing leaked through the mattress pad to the mattress so I would say it was well worth the money spent. Also, the Sleep Number Total Protection Mattress pad gives you a 10 year limited warranty so there is really no reason not to get it.

I am sure if you have read this far you know how much Melinda and I love our bed and I will say that we will NEVER go back to a regular bed ever. We are Sleep Number customers for life. The one thing I am dreading is having to sleep on a regular bed when we travel or go on vacation. Oh well, it will give us something to look forward to when we get home.
