Wordless Wednesday – Just The Boys

Shaun and I went to the Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam show in Philly this past Saturday at Lincoln Financial Field. This was the first time that Shaun and I have ever been to this event but I must admit we had a blast. Before the show we got to meet the drivers and get their autograph. The show was loud but it was an awesome time. Shaun and I had such a great time we are thinking about going to the July show in Baltimore.

The tire alone is bigger then Shaun

Wordless Wednesday – Our Veggie Garden

Our Veggie Garden

Here is our veggie garden for this year. It took us weeks to get everything in and planted but it is finally done. In it we have grape tomatoes, red peppers, cubanelle peppers, cucumbers, green beans, roma tomatoes, watermelon.  We also have two planter boxes filled with herbs (not pictured).

It’s So Fluffy I Could Die

That’s my kid’s favorite line in the movie Despicable Me. We had the opportunity to see the movie in 3D before it was released back in July and we loved it!

In a happy suburban neighborhood surrounded by white picket fences with flowering rose bushes, sits a black house with a dead lawn. Unbeknownst to the neighbors, hidden deep beneath this home is a vast secret hideout. Surrounded by an army of tireless, little yellow Minions, we discover Gru (Steve Carell), planning the biggest heist in the history of the world. He is going to steal the moon. Yes, the moon!

Gru delights in all things wicked. Armed with his arsenal of shrink rays, freeze rays and battle-ready vehicles for land and air, he vanquishes all who stand in his way. Until the day he encounters the immense will of three little orphaned girls who look at him and see something that no one else has ever seen: a potential Dad.

One of the world’s greatest super-villains has just met his greatest challenge: three little girls named Margo, Edith and Agnes.

Despicable Me was released on December 14th on Blu-ray & DVD. It was a must get on our holiday shopping and has proved to be the most popular gift of the season. For about the 1st 2 weeks it was on about two or three times a day. We’ve cut it down to every other day now but it’s still a favorite of everyone’s in the house.

We were able to get the 3 Disc Combo pack which includes the Blu-ray copy, DVD and Digital copy perfect for iTunes. Along with watching the feature film this copy includes 3 mini movies starring the Minions. Anyone remember Walter the minion, we took him to the beach for a little vacay the Shae tried to drown him in a bucket. The extra bonus features have proved to be a hit too! Shae likes to play Super Silly Fun Land and win prizes along with Edith, Agnes and Margo.

If you haven’t already got Despicable Me in your movie library I highly recommend it!

Wordless Wednesday – The Three Amigos

This was taken on Thanksgiving.  I can’t believe they are all smiling and looking at the camera.

Wordless Wednesday – My Boy Is Ready For Battle!!!

Mom Mom and Pop Pop bought Shaun that Shield and Sword at the Pennsylvania Renaissance Fair this past summer.  He looks ready for battle to me!

Wordless Wednesday – What The EF…Are You Brave Enough?

Heard about this today. It’s the worlds fastest roller coaster at the new Abu Dhabi theme park. It looks like a Ferrari F1 car and pulls 4.8g’s when it launches.

The ride is called Formula Rossa and it uses a hydraulic launch system—the same technology used to get fighter jets off the deck of aircraft carriers—to accelerate the train to 150 mph in 4.9 seconds. That’s four times the g’s produced by a Bugatti Veyron under full acceleration and is enough to give even seasoned Formula One drivers face warps.

Would you be brave enough to ride it?

Wordless Wednesday – 6 Years Ago

This picture was taken almost exactly 6 years ago 11/6/04. Sabreena was 10, Shaun was 1 1/2, time sure does fly.  This was the best house for playing in leaves.

Wordless Wednesday – Pics in the Park

The weather was so nice this past weekend and the trees were dropping their orange and yellow leaves I hauled the kids to a local park and snapped away. Here’s a just a peek at some of the shots I got.
