If You Had 3 Minutes

mulitasking mom, multitasking woman, if mom had 3 minutesI thought about naming this blog Multi-Tasking Mom or If I Only Had One More Hour or Where Did The Time Go. All the titles seem to represent the same idea, I’m always doing something, usually with not enough time to get the things done.

Clorox and Karen Kaufman Orloff, author of the children’s book If Mom Had Three Arms, are creating a fun and practical e-book called If Mom Had Three Minutes with tips for moms on how to accomplish in three minutes what others can’t accomplish in 30!

Clorox wants to hear about the time-saving secrets of motherhood from veteran moms, which will serve as inspiration for the book. Your readers can visit the Clorox Facebook Page and check out the If Mom Had Three Minutes tab to:

  • Share their time-saving tips for moms
  • Learn how other moms conquer time scarcity

Their tips will serve as inspiration for the official e-book when it is released in May 2012. Since cleaning ranked as the top chore women wanted to eliminate from their to-do list, the e-book will include solutions for how to accomplish more in less time when it comes to housework!

Being a Beauty Ambassador for CATTIVA Cosmetics gives me the opportunity to try out new products and share my experience with you. This month I received the Tutto Giorno Mineral Quad Eye Shadow is Capri. I was a bit nervous about this particular color combination. I don’t tend to wear such dark shades, I’m not your typical smokey eye kinda girl as it usually ends up being too heavy for my day to day adventures. But I went scouring YouTube for some tutorials and found out something, the trick is to blend the darks in with some lights.

Here is the daytime look I came up with eye using 3 of the colors from Capri (silver, taupe, black) and a brown/taupe shade that I already own. For a date night or girls night out I would add the silver for some added sparkle.

I was impressed with the staying power it had too. I applied this look late morning and at bedtime it was still looking good. My only problem is I don’t have a way to store the shadows for now. The eyeshadows and foundations all fit into the glitzy crystal compact but they don’t come with one, not even a simple, smaller one for storage and transport.

So far I’ve really like my Cattiva Cosmetics reviews. The colors have all been very complementary for my skin and the packaging is luxurious. I look forward to see what next month has in store.

Men Easier Fed than Understood, Ball Park Coupon

Ball Park Hot Dogs, Facebook The BIG GAME is right around the corner! What are your plans for the day? Are you engaging or hosting the festivities? Do you not really care?

I’m part of the not really care team. Don’t get me wrong, I like football, I’ll watch the games if they are on but I’m not a die-hard fan of any team. Hosting a get-together and putting out a tasty spread is where I fit in.

This year Ball Park wants the guys to get together and get them fed while discussing stats, yards, formations and drives. It doesn’t matter the sport or activity or hobby, whatever Rob talks about just goes in one ear and out the other. Can you imagine my delight when 2 of our friends took up cycling. We were hanging out one day and they started talking gears and components and my best friend and I looked at each other and just walked away with our wine. The conversation they had reminded me a lot of this conversation that Ball Park is sharing.

Ball Park has got it right, Men, Easier Fed than Understood. This year for the Superbowl we’re keeping it low key and simple. As long as the weather cooperates we’ll be grilling burgers and dogs. We’re going to give the new Ball Park Angus Beef Franks a try. Sounds like a very adult meal to me. Better yet it sounds simple and nothing beats a grilled dog.

Try them for yourself too. Visit Ball Park on Facebook, give them a LIKE click and you’ll be able to download a $1 coupon for Ball Park products. Tell me what other MANLY conversations go on around you that you just don’t “get”.

This is a sponsored post. Ball Park product and additional incentives were provided to me. All opinions stated are my own.

Are We Really Friends

On Christmas day a UK woman, Simone Back, announced her suicide plan on Facebook and no one stepped in to help. “Took all my pills, bye bye”, that was a message 1048 friends saw; a handful made comments, called her a liar and pretty much called her bluff. Only this time it wasn’t a bluff. Simone was found dead later that day. Her mother asked Simone’s Facebook friends to now leave her alone.
With the technology we have today you would think that a cry for help wouldn’t go unanswered. Facebook status updates go unread all the time but this one was read and ridiculed and chastised. Our social reach goes far beyond our physical abilities. I have friends in Hawaii that I’ve never met and family in Georgia that I haven’t seen in many years. But I was able to share holiday memories, birthday wishes and pictures of the kids with them both. Having this vast network of “friends” all over doesn’t really mean you have friends though. A lot of these friends are just numbers for your games, blogs, fanbase or cause. I’m guilty of this since I ask for a Facebook like or Twitter follow as giveaway entries. Does this mean all of those people are my friends; no. But I can say that I appreciate the effort to help build LookWhatMomFound…and Dad too! and love reading comments and updates and messages from everyone I’ve friended and liked or followed. I would hope that if I was down, depressed, excited, sad, happy or bored my online friends as well as my real life would be there to support or cheer me on.
