Update from Orlando and IZEAFest

Melinda and I have been in Orlando, Florida since Thursday for IZEAFest and we are having an AWESOME time. I knew we would have a great time but this is so much better then we thought. The weather in Orlando is great, the hotel is super nice and IZEAFest is very informative.
On Friday at IZEAFest we had a ton of great speakers like Ted Murphy(@tedmurphy) who spoke about Developing Your Brand, Brian Clark (@copyblogger) who spoke about Strategies That Work and much more. After we wrapped up the day on Friday we headed back to the hotel and got ready to head out for some dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings then for a sponsored event at Ice Bar Orlando (@icebarorlando). If you ever get a chance to attend the Ice Bar Orlando do it. It is a great experience that most people normally wouldn’t do but it was such a cool experience I am glad we did. Today we started the day with an awesome keynote speaker Aaron Brazell (@technosailor) about Marks of an Influencer. It was a great speech on how to make your mark on the social media world as an influencer which really struck home and now I am going to strive to be an influencer. We have a ton more awesome speakers today and tonight their is a scavenger hunt called IZEAHunt which I am participating. The team name is “The Boogie Crew” and my team is made up of Greg from Telling Dad, Erin from The Mom Buzz, Susan from Life in a House of Blue and Melinda. IZEAHunt is going to be awesome and we are looking forward to it.

So far IZEAFest is terrific and I am glad Melinda and I made the effort to attend. We have met a ton of great people in person finally which is really cool. I will do another update in a day or two after IZEAHunt tonight and Sea World which we are going to tomorrow. So far we are having the best time.

Attune Foods Wellness Bar Review

We are on our way to IZEAFest and while I know we are going to have a blast the thought of eating out for the next 4 days and trying to squeeze in some healthy stuff is stressing me out.

A healthy digestive system is important for overall well-being. If we aren’t getting the nutrition we need from the food we eat then we aren’t going to thrive. Stress, medications, poor diet and other environmental factors generally put our health at risk. Attune bars help balance the good bacteria called probiotics by providing up to 5 times the amount of live active cultures than regular yogurt in the convienence of an on-the-go bar.
The probiotics story begins with intestinal bacteria, which are a community of good and bad bacteria that live in the digestive system. We all have naturally occurring bacterial communities in our digestive systems. They help:

• Protect the body from harmful bacteria.
• Exercise the immune system to ensure it is ready to react to harmful bacteria.
• Strengthen the intestinal wall so it acts as a defensive barrier.
• Digest fiber in the diet, so we can absorb the nutrients from the foods we eat.

These digestive bacteria are essential to overall wellbeing. Probiotics act as a helper to these friendly bacteria, and that help can keep the digestive system functioning well.
While they aren’t meant to replace all the food in your diet they are a great addition to maintain that balance needed for overall health. Attune probiotic chocolate bars, available in seven delicious chocolate flavors (such as Dark Chocolate, Mint Chocolate and Blueberry Vanilla), have 100 or fewer calories and contain three of the most clinically supported probiotic strains for digestive health and immunity (more important than ever) plus calcium and fiber. Attune probiotic wellness bars are a delicious way to enjoy the health benefits probiotics can provide. Each Attune wellness bar is packed with probiotics that help rebalance your digestive system, so your whole body can work better.

• Attune probiotics are proven to survive in the digestive tract, where they can provide optimal health benefits.
• The probiotics in Attune have been clinically tested to support a healthy digestive system and a strong immune system.*
• Attune wellness bars also include prebiotics, which support healthy digestive function and work in harmony with probiotics.

Win A Free Ticket To IZEAFest

This is our second try to win a ticket to IZEAFest 2009 valued at $229 which will be at SeaWorld in Orlando from October 1-4, 2009. This would be my wife’s and I first blogging conference and we really would like to go.

For your chance to go to IZEAFest head over to There’s Something About Harry. The contest ends September 3rd and if you head over to There’s Something About Harry he has many different ways to enter the contest so you might get a free ticket to go to IZEAFest. Don’t delay because time is running out.

IZEAFest 2009 here we come thanks to BenSpark.com

As many of you know and are probably tired of hearing, we are trying to go to IZEAFest 2009.

IZEAFest is an interactive event designed to educate, inform and connect social media enthusiasts. Meet the world’s foremost social media experts in a collaborative, fun and open setting. Learn how to grow your traffic, build your brand and make more money online. It’s being held in Orlando, FL, October 1-4. As of today it’s only 50someodd days away, that’s not a lot of time especially when we are trying to line up sponsors to help us financially to get both Rob and I there. I mean while it would probably be fine for just one of us to go it would be SOOOOOO much fun for us both to go since we both contribute so much to the site.

BenSpark is running a contest for some tickets (and cool prizes). He went to IZEAFest last year so it makes sense that he would have some good knowledge about the ins and outs and tips and tricks to make the event that more enjoyable. He lists the Top 10 Reason To Go To IZEAFest 2009. I agree with all of his reasons but I have to add my own, FUN. I totally get the education and networking side of it and those are the main reasons we want to go but if I thought it was going to be a dull, stuffed shirt, clock-watching conference I wouldn’t have given it a second thought. We want to meet other bloggers, especially the friends we’ve made over the last few months plus the bloggers we don’t yet know we love. We want to network with Marketers and PR reps to establish relationships that will later bring cool content to our site and traffic to theirs. While we didn’t get into blogging to get rich, a few bucks here and there would be pretty sweet too, so some education on money-making will be good for us.
Another thing BenSpark talks about is 10 Essential Items For IZEAFest 2009. He’s got some great items on his list, lots of things that make sense, camera, mini-video camera, business cards, etc. We couldn’t think about going without our BlackBerries! We can tweet, check ESPN (it will be football season), blog, email, update Facebook, text, take pics, take video, update the Cozi grocery list and do math all on the same device. That’s my addition to Ben Sparks handy dandy must-have list.
We want to thank BenSpark for hosting a cool giveaway with very cool entries. Hope to see you there!

My Top 10 Reasons I am Excited to Stay Home with My Family This Coming Weekend.

You can safely assume that I’m not going to BlogHer since I’m sitting on my couch watching The Fashion Show instead of schmoozing with other blogger mommies. I’m not having a pity party or anything in fact Rob and I are both planning on attending Izeafest in October. Cozi, a super cool and easy to use online organizational tool, is sponsoring 15 mommy bloggers WITH $100 EACH! To participate I have to tell you my Top 10 Reasons I am Excited to Stay Home with My Family This Coming Weekend. Look at my gorgeous kiddos, this is going to be easy peasy!

  1. After a week caring for someone else’s children’s I am glad to just be with mine.
  2. With Rob’s hectic schedule the weekends are our time to live a normal life.
  3. Mealtime isn’t rushed through, we are able to eat together, slowly and chat.
  4. We can eat a real HOT breakfast, not cereal or bagels.
  5. I can lounge in bed in the morning with the kids and watch cartoons with them.
  6. We get to spend time with the grandparents that we rarely get to see!
  7. Shae is learning new things each day, I can’t miss that.
  8. Work with my Dad on getting his Cozi grocery/shopping list organized for his & Shae’s duo birthday party.
  9. Catching up on being a couch potato with Rob, watching Deadliest Catch and Hell’s Kitchen.
  10. Spend time on our new Cozi account to get better organized for our upcoming vacation(it’s compatible with our crackberrys LOL)

Now it’s your turn to tell me what your plans are for this weekend. Spending time with the family? Spending time alone? Or just tell me something that should be on my list. Just tell me SOMETHINGWhatever is it, leave a comment because The 15 bloggers with the most comments by midnight on Monday (July 27th) will be chosen for the $100 sponsorship!
Help Rob and I get to IzeaFest this year!

Looking For IzeaFest 2009 Sponsorship

Hopefully you have noticed that our blog is different, LookWhatMomFound and PeanutButterandSmelly’s Dad have changed; we are now the husband and wife blogging team behind Look What Mom Found…and Dad too! Melinda started her blog in November 2008 and Rob started his in March 2009 and we never imagined they would be so successful. With our recent blog merger the outpouring of support from our readers and sponsors has been wonderful. As you know blogging has been a great way for us to introduce our readers to great products and services as well as meet some other motivating bloggers.

There is a very cool blogging conference coming up October 1st- 4th in Orlando, FL called IzeaFest. IzeaFest is an interactive event designed to educate, inform and connect social media enthusiasts such as Bloggers and Tweeters. As a blogger this event will help us learn how to grow our site’s traffic and help us build our brand and make our site the best that is can be. We feel this will be beneficial for our sponsors (YOU) as well as ourselves as it will bring more traffic to articles, reviews and giveaways as well as more traffic to your site.

This note is coming your way as we are in search of sponsorship to attend this unique opportunity. We are contacting you in hopes that you would be interested in promoting your program and products in a different way to a target audience of moms and dads. We are looking for financial contributions of $200-$300 to cover admission tickets, hotel and airfare.

In return for financial sponsorship to IzeaFest we can offer you some or all of the following:

1. Advertising on our site until the end of 2009.
2. Handing out your business cards, flyers or product samples or swag to anyone we cross paths with at Izeafest (since there will be two of us I am sure we can get your name out very easily)
3. Brand Promotion by wearing clothing/carrying tote bags/wearing hats with your company logo during this 4 day conference.
4. Blog promotion about your upcoming events, sales or other advertising needed.
5. Regular tweets and posts recognizing you as our sponsor for Izeafest.
6. Adding your logo to the back of our business card to hand out at the conference

We are open to other ideas that you may think are beneficial to your company and products. Please let us know anything else you have in mind so we can work something out.

Why should you sponsor us?

Sponsoring us is cheaper and easier than going yourself. Think about your travel time wasted, time spent manning a booth, sitting in seminars and time spent away from your business. Also think about all the other companies that will be represented, some of those are your competitors; let us help you get your name out there.

We look forward to hearing from you and hope we can work together on a sponsorship for this amazing blogging opportunity.
