$60 DVD Transfer Service Giveaway From YesVideo

Do you have old family videos of important events like birthdays, vacations, etc? If so and you are looking to preserve those memories you may want to turn those old tapes into DVD’s. Turning old tapes into DVD’s is simple for YesVideo because they are the pros when it comes to this.

About a year ago I started converting our old Hi-8 tapes into digital form so that I could save them on my computer and makes DVD’s of them for us to watch. I did about 4-5 tapes and the conversion process was so time consuming and so labor intensive. YesVideo not only converts your old tapes but also does film transfer, digital video transfer and image scanning. Now that I converted our tapes to DVD I need to start working on getting our non digital photos converted into digital form.

YesVideo is pretty simple to use because all you have to do is go to yesvideo.com, select how many of what type of media you are looking to have converted, select if you want it transferred right to DVD or online first then you can order DVD’s later, send your media to them for conversion and just sit back and wait for the converted product to be returned to you.

I recently converted my father in law’s youth football championship tape from 15 years ago to a DVD so he could relive those memories forever. The process was fast and the final product was awesome. They set the DVD up so he could watch either the whole DVD or just certain chapters. They even set the football DVD to music so he can watch the original footage or just play in set to music. Pretty cool feature and totally unexpected but that just shows that YesVideo goes the extra mile for their customers.

Another thing I forgot to mention is when your DVD is delivered to you so is your original tape just in case you want to save it for future use.

Overall YesVideo is an awesome service that I will be using in the near future because with three kids we have a ton of pictures on many different media forms that I would love converted to DVD so I know they are safe and secure forever.

What do you want for your birthday

My birthday is coming up. You might think my wish list is super long but I’m quite a low maintenance kinda girl. The splurge of the century is an upcoming girls weekend at the beach with my best friend. We’ve been talking about it for years and finally made the move and booked it. Before I reveal more details about it, I would suggest you to check this site for some amazing birthday wishes in case you want to wish your grandpa a happy 70th birthday with some lovely messages.

As for other things I want my list is pretty small. I like jewelry. I’ve been eyeing antique skeleton key necklaces on Etsy like the one pictured here. Anything with a little thought put into it means so much.

I know it isn’t very special or sentimental but I love kitchen gadgets and supplies. Pretty mugs, shiny baking sheets and spice blends are a great way to get me to try new recipes and techniques. Our DVR was set up to record House, at least we thought it was. This past weekend when it was time to settle in to catch up on TV we quickly realized we lost the last 2 episodes. We easily caught up using the Roku and Hulu Plus.
