Cattiva Cosmetics 2-in1 Shadow Crease Brush

There’s something about opening the drawers to my vanity and seeing all of the Cattiva Cosmetics bling that makes me smile.

My most recent article is the Shadow Crease Brush. If you know me you know I’m a eye shadow collector. I love the color and drama I can easily add with bright and deep and vibrant colors. With the collection of eye shadows comes drawer full of brushes. The Shadow Crease Brush is awesome because it’s dual tip makes it 2 brushes in one. The fluffy side is for all over shadow on the lid and the tighter angle is for applying in the crease. I add another extra fluffy brush to the mix for my brow color and that’s all I need.

While Cattiva Cosmetics give off a luxurious special occasion feel they certainly have become my basics. The eye liner, lip gloss and new Shadow Crease Brush have made their way into my purse so I have go to color wherever I am. I use the Bellaza Blush/Bronzer Mineral Duo over my foundation almost daily and the mascara has made it way onto my eyes more often than I originally anticipated since I’m not usually a mascara wearer. While I love my Mineral Quad Eyeshadow it gets left behind because of the lack of case.

Gallery Direct Wrapped Canvas

Here I go again. I’m going to gush about Gallery Direct and the great quality they put out with their gallery wrapped canvases. This article makes 7 individual pieced of art in our home. Unfortunately I’ve yet to try a different material even though I know I would love the Birchwood and Mirror options. I did this gallery wrapped canvas analysis to go along with my most favorite print so far (besides my own uploads); Merrymaking IV by M. Drake. I decided that I needed to add more of the Merrymaking series to make a bigger impact in our living room. We’ve been given these high ceilings and I wanted to cover all of them. This is what we did.

I love it. The circus tent, Merrymaking I is awesome and might be nudging the Ferris Wheel out of 1st place.

Tell Her “Mom You Rock” with Skype

I’ve been picked as a Skype Ambassador. This means I get to show you all the cool features Skype has to offer that you may not have known about already.

We only get to see her every 2 years. I try to send cards and pictures and gifts but it isn’t the same as talking face to face even through a computer screen. Showing her how to use Skype is going to be one of the 1st things we do.

Everything Has a Place in the New Ford Escape

I remember when car companies thought lighted mirrors were an attraction for women. When I bought my Ford Taurus many years ago the salesman pointed out safety and comfort features to Rob and pointed out the DUAL visor mirrors to me as if I’d be impressed. Today the clever cargo features offered in the new Ford Escape can be appreciated by moms and dads alike.

I’m the kind of mom that transports a first aid kit, blankets, games, reusable bags and more in the car for the just in case moment. Having 3 kids can make one realize the surprises that may creep up on you. The new Ford Escape offers little features with big impact for families on the go. Personally I love the umbrella spot. There is nothing worse than having a wet handbag or shoes because your wet umbrella doesn’t have it’s own space. A Handsfree Liftgate is awesome too. While the liftgate isn’t hard to open on my Ford Freestar there are always those time when getting the keyfob out proves difficult because of a sleeping child, hands full of bags or purse left in front seat.

Gorgeous Eyes with Divino Lash Mascara #giveaway

My makeup collection is not only getting bigger but it’s getting gorgeous thanks to all the blingy things Cattiva Cosmetics keeps sending me. This time I was sent a Divino Lash Mascara. Mascara is NOT something I wear on a regular basis. In fact I don’t even wear it on an irregular basis. Mascara is saved for extra special occasions like weddings and girls nite out.

Its not that I don’t like the look of long lashes I just don’t usually go through the trouble of applying it for daily errands. I actually love the look of fuller thicker eyes and can go without eyeliner if I’ve applied enough mascara. Since Cattiva Cosmetics sent me a Divino Lash Mascara I’ve worn it about 6 times. That’s 6 times in a month. I’m trying to embrace my feminine side a bit more. Wearing yoga pants and tees all day puts a damper on that sometimes but making the littlest effort really makes a difference.

In the above picture you can see the difference between both eyes. I applied 1 coat of Divino Lash Mascara to one eye. It dried quickly and could’ve easily used a 2nd coat but I wanted to see the difference with just one. Clearly my lashes were separated and longer.

Cattiva Cosmetics Precisione Eye Liner

*Update-I stopped using concealer and foundation on my eyes and am just sticking with Eyelid Primer and I’m having success with staying power of the eyeliner.

Cattiva Cosmetics is quickly becoming one of my favorite make-up brands. I’m thankful that I was introduced as a Beauty Blog Ambassador. My most recent review is their Precisione Eye Liner.

For the last few weeks I’ve been trying to master eyeliner application. I have a bumpy lash line, maybe everyone does but eyeliners tend to skip and drag as I apply. This one didn’t; the Precisione Eye Liner glided on like butter. No voids in color at all. I was able to take the pencil all the way to the outside corners in one easy stroke. The color was intense and bold. I went on with my day.

In general I don’t wear pencil eyeliners, they just don’t work well for me. I was hopeful that I was going to finally find something that worked. Maybe it’s my eye prep but within 2 hours it smudged; raccoon eyes. This happens with ALL pencil eyeliners. For the last 20+ years of wearing make-up I’ve very rarely found eyeliner that wasn’t liquid that had staying power. I did invest in some primer so I’m going to test this out. Maybe it’s my routine, maybe I have too much product. I do use concealers, maybe it’s too moist of an environment but I need to wear concealer to cover up my dark circles.

Gallery Direct Photo to Canvas Upload

We got the chance to continue our Blogger Ambassador-ship with Gallery Direct for 2012. One of the first things we got to do for the New Year was re-visit their custom photo upload, photo to canvas feature. In case you don’t remember from last Father’s Day I ordered this awesome canvas of Rob and the kids. It’s one of my favorite pictures of them; it’s from our Carnival Cruise Family Vacation of 2010.

This time around I wanted to do something a bit more special and sentimental. Since I’m usually the one behind the camera there aren’t many pictures of Rob and I that actually look good. We lucked out this past Thanksgiving and Sabreena was able to snag this gem; never mind it was 1 out of 32. I knew it had to be displayed. I had it printed as a 5X7 photo and it sits in a frame on the bookshelf but I knew it needed something grander. Now it’s printed on canvas and sits at the top of the steps on the 3rd floor.

This time I had it done in black and white, I like the effect it brings to this mostly candid shot. Gallery Direct hasn’t let me down yet. Our house has never looked so put together. I didn’t realize how much warmer and lived in a home could feel with art and larger scale photo up in the wall.

Ball Parks Don’t Make Good CornDogs

Since our kids are literally spitting distance from their grandparents front door my parents like to keep their home stocked with certain things for those times we just stop by. Hot Dogs are on that list. This past weekend my mom and dad did their duty as babysitters since Rob and I had somewhere to go. Typically dinner with the kids involved a trip to Red Robin, take-out pizza or spaghetti & meatballs. This week I thought it would be the perfect time for Shae to hit up Pop-Pop for homemade corndogs. For some strange reason Shae’s been asking ME to make corn dogs. I don’t have a fryer but my dad does, of course.

The meal prep itself was fun. The kids helped with the measuring and mixing and then let Pop-Pop work his magic. While the corndogs tasted good they didn’t hold up well. We used Ball Park Angus Beef Franks-Bun Length. I blame the juiciness of the dog for the sliding off of the crust; that’s not really a bad thing though when you think about it.
