Cooking with kids can be fun and easy as long as you give them tasks and tools appropriate for their age. Aprons are a good start. Shae inherited an apron from Sabreena and also has a gorgeous retro apron from OvertheTopAprons.com. She wears both of them as she works hard in her play kitchen mixing and baking and serving up yummy plates of pineapple and asparagus on bread. If you want to venture into the real kitchen try some kid size cookware or fun recipes to let the kids help for real.
Get your kids involved. Studies show that kids who cook as a family are less likely to have an eating disorder later in life, more likely to have healthy eating habits and grow up with stronger bonds to their parents.
