Spa Quality Towels at Home | Giveaway WSRW Blog Party

Crisp and Clean, Big and Fluffy. No matter how you like your towels new ones are always a treat. The Turkish Towel Company has been in the towel making business for over 50 years. With all that experience they’ve become a leader in manufacturing and selling hotel quality towels and robes not only to hotels and spas but to the everyday consumer.

Turkish cotton is growing in popularity for its balance of softness and absorbency. The uniqueness of this fiber allows for a softer, fluffier feel the more it is used and laundered. Turkish cotton is premium cotton that has extra long fibers resulting in a stronger more durable towel. Your Turkish Towel Company towel will outlast your next bathroom makeover and possibly the one after that.

I prefer white towels. I like the crisp contrast again the deep red wall color and the ability to coordinate any shower curtain or décor. I received a Zenith Bath set for review and immediately set them up in my bathroom. Like I said, new towels are like a small indulgence.

These bath towels are ultra stylish, wonderfully deep, and plush. Thick closely woven double-loops make these hotel-quality bath towels sumptuously soft.
The Zenith Towel Collection is ultra absorbent with a great looking ribbed bottom border. Bring luxury hotel style into your home!

A LookWhatMomFound…and Dad too! reader is going to win a set of 2 Zenith Bath towels(white). Visit The Turkish Towel Company and tell me what other towel colors would match your home.

Project 52 – Week 9

Welcome to 9th week of Project 52; my attempt to capture our lives in a couple pictures each week.

AGAIN, I forgot to post my Project52 update.  At least it’s still early enough in the day to get it up and not feel guilty forgetting LOL

I posted earlier this week about some home improvements I wanted to make throughout the house.  We’ve made a huge dent in a couple things on the list.  Our living room now has a more sophisticated, adult feel. We replaced our comfy but ugly sofas with a sleek and modern leather couch.  Also our bedroom is slowly turning into a mini retreat that I so crave. We have a headboard again!!!!! I’m excited about this the most. Oh and a shot of Shae, just because.

much more our style now

Cisco Valet Wireless Router Giveaway

I would die without my internet! Let’s face it most of us would. I’m connected through my laptop and when that is closed I’m connected through my phone. In order to stay online the way I depend on a reliable wireless router. With multiple laptops, smartphones, printers and iPods in the house we need good service and equipment.

Cisco’s Valet is a smart solution for uninterrupted connectivity with easy set-up. Just like it’s cousin the Cisco Flip Video Camera the Valet has adopted the same plug and play ease. Installation took about 10 minutes with the USB key and we ran into no glitches.

The extra features are what impressed me most. Upon setting up our network I found that a guest network could be set up so that visitors can gain access of wi-fi without accessing shared files. This is perfect for keeping your financials safe and family photos safe. The Parental Controls are going to be key in the new year. I can shut off connectivity at a certain time. Sabreena’s been known to lose track of time, this should help her memory a little bit. While most anti-virus software comes with website filtering the Valet is an added touch of protection. Keep your kids eyes off of what they shouldn’t be watching.
Cisco’s award winning customer service is available 24/7 is you get stuck during the installation process. The Valet is priced at $99, a touch more expensive than other routers on the market but truly designed so that everyone can use it.

Win the Cisco Valet for your home here at LookWhatMomFound…and Dad too! Tell me how many devices you need to hook up wirelessly.

Chose from 1 of 5 Price Pfister Faucets Being Given Away!

People say the kitchen is one of the most important “rooms” in the house and I tend to agree so when I was contact by Price Pfister  to review one of three bathroom faucets or one of two kitchen faucets I chose the kitchen faucet.

We had a Glacier Bay kitchen faucet that wasn’t in the best working order so I was excited when I received the Ashfield Pull-down Kitchen Faucet.  They offer the Ashfield Pull-down Kitchen Faucet in a 2 or 4 hole design with a matching soap dispenser.  It comes in three finishes: Stainless Steel, Rustic Bronze and Tuscan Bronze which brings a bit of vintage décor to any home.  We opted for the Stainless Steel and I must admit it looks sharp with our sink and counter top configuration.  It was easy to install and works awesome. We have deep sinks and I like that you can pull the faucet out to clean the sink and when you are done it clicks back into place so it isn’t just dangling like our old faucet did.

Price Pfister has been trusted since 1910 as a leader in the plumbing industry for nearly a century.  They offer so many kitchen and bath faucets as well as shower heads and bath accessories you will be certain to find something that matches your taste.  Price Pfister backs every product with a guarantee of quality that covers both finish and function for life.  How can you go wrong with a product that is so certain of its craftsman ship it will guarantee it for life!  Price Pfister strives to offer the best design, quality, service and value.

I know there are a lot of different kitchen and bath faucet manufactures on the market but I am serious when I say Price Pfister in my opinion is the best and offers the best selection of products.

Ok, now it’s time to win a Price Pfister faucet of your own. Please select from one of the five faucets listed below and tell me which one you want to receive if you win.

Kitchen Faucets:

  1. Avanti Pull-down Kitchen Faucet
  2. Ashfield Pull-down Kitchen Faucet

Bathroom Faucets:

  1. Contempra

Holiday Wishlist 2010 – Comfy Sacks Bean Bag Chair Giveaway

Comfort is key when it’s time to settle down in the living room. Yeah the sofa and chairs are comfortable but you know what’s even better; a Comfy Sack. A Comfy Sack is a “bean bag” with a twist.

Comfy Sacks uses superior foam and quality fabrics than any other foam bag chair company on the market. Their foam is softer and more comfortable because they use premium furniture grade foam.

We received our Comfy Sack bean bag chair about a month ago and were amazed at the size of the box it same in. I knew we ordered a 6Foot Lounger but the package was no bigger than Shae. The process of opening it, setting it up and fluffing up the foam took just minutes but it was a hysterical few minutes. We were all amazed at the size it finally ended up being. Fully fluffed it is taller than Shae but soft enough that she can climb on easily. It may not have been the smartest idea to get such a large Comfy Sack because it takes up so much room but I can’t imagine not having it in the living room.

packed up tight

The 6 foot lounger is big enough the kids to all sit together and watch a movie and best of all big enough that Rob and I can take a quick nap on Saturday afternoon. Imagine having company over for football and having this for an extra 2 or 3 seats. It’s a perfect spot to tackle my niece and tickle her till she can’t breathe. It’s used so much that when we had to move it out of the room for a party my son cried thinking we got rid of it. A small bean bag chair would be perfect for a kid’s bedroom as a gaming seat, reading spot or quiet spot to just play, relax or doze. With plenty of colors and materials to choose from you can pop a Comfy Sack into almost any room for instant seating, comfort, warmth and play. I say play because we probably use it in ways we aren’t supposed to (like launching baby dolls into the air after jumping on it from the sofa).

This is a good fit for our family even though it takes up a ridiculous amount of space in our living room. This holiday season LookWhatMomFound…and Dad too! is giving away a 3.5 foot suede Sack (winner chooses the color), $181 value. Visit Comfy Sacks and tell me which bean bag (size/color/style) would get the most use in your home.

Redoing the Garden

When we moved here I was excited because the backyard already had a vegetable garden. Within a week I was discouraged; it was filled with weeds, rainbow chard that tasted like grass and some other things I couldn’t recognize. The only thing I tended to were the tomatoes, they flourished.

The plants weren’t the only thing wrong, there wasn’t any soil, it was all clay and rocks. I’m not sure what the previous tenants were thinking but the garden as a whole was a nightmare.
Next year I want more tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, spinach, herbs, strawberries and maybe green beans or peas. I’m off to do some research on how to get these things in the ground at the right time and how to build up the garden so it supports my thriving veggies and fruit next year.
I know I’ll need to rip everything up soon and till the space and of course add some quality soil. I did some potted veggies too but I’d like to keep the deck clear next year maybe that way Shae won’t think the grape tomato plant is her own personal snack machine. Do you have any advice on what to grow, how to care for things or a schedule on when to plant certain plants?

Shop with $100 at ATGStores.com Giveaway – CLOSED

Summer is in full swing and Rob, the kids and I are taking full advantage. We swim at the pool, we play at the park, we plant in the garden and we hang on the deck. Our deck gets FULL sun till mid afternoon so we knew we needed a nice big umbrella. ATG gave us the Decorative Vented Market Umbrella and it’s a perfect fit for our deck and personal style.

I was worried about the crank style operation; I thought it wouldn’t feel sturdy enough. I was wrong; the mechanics feel strong and I don’t feel like I’m going to break off the handle when I’m opening the umbrella. The umbrella itself is large; large enough to completely cover 2-4 people depending on the sun’s movement. I’ve been filling an inflatable pool in the deck and the umbrella allows the kids to play without the sun beating down on their little heads the whole time. We use the umbrella freestanding as we don’t have traditional dining style table and chairs. The umbrella is in a stand and it gets moved around the deck to cover the pool, group of chairs or whatever needs shielding from the sun.  It also tilts as you can see from the picture above, love this feature.

ATG Stores is so much more about umbrellas. With over 400 online stores and FREE SHIPPING you can furnish any and every room in your house with just a few clicks to site like HomeFurnitureShowroom.com, NewBabySupply.com and CookingandTableware.com just to name a few.

Small Town America is Coming Back

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Ramblers Way. All opinions are 100% mine.
Growing up I remember walking to several corner stores for all of our daily needs. Cooper’s had snacks and penny candies and P&S had groceries. Even the diners were not only so tasty they were reasonably priced. Today, Cooper’s isn’t there one of the diners turned into a pizza place and small doctor’s office turned into a daycare center. For a long time all of those charming mom and pop shops were disappearing.

If you’ve noticed there’s been a resurgence of the quaint Main Street feel in the big cities. Crumbling neighborhoods and dilapidated houses are being transformed into hip bistros and trendy shops. Made in America is in fashion again! Local isn’t an insult, it’s a badge to be worn proudly on doors, menus and labels.

Rambler’s Way is changing small town life in Maine; refurbishing buildings, bringing business back to the community and revitalizing the area with jobs and opportunities that weren’t available for a long time. The neighborhood I grew up in was in bad shape for a long time. Northern Liberties, Philadelphia is now one of the most sought after communities after its tremendous growth in recent years. Memories of vacant lots, boarded up buildings and damaged streets are long gone.

Think back to where you and your family grew up. How is it different today? Is it still changing?

Always Needing Something

With our move to Delaware we have been doing a lot of things to make the house ours. We have been doing a ton of yard work like weeding the garden and trying to make our deck a place to sit and hang out.

It feels like every time I turn around Melinda and I need something else for the house. I guess since we moved into a bigger and nicer house it is only natural to need and want new stuff. A few things on the list are a new coffee maker for work, outdoor lighting, deck box for storing toys and gardening tools and a storage bench for the foot of our bed for extra blankets and sheets. The list can go on and on, those are just a few of the things I can think of off the top of my head. At the end of the day we are just happy to be settled back home in Delaware.

We’ll be shopping soon at one of CSN’s many stores like www.luxebycsn.com or www.cookware.com. Check them out for yourself and find a HUGE selection of things for home, work and play.

What is on your list of needs/wants?

Panasonic Jetspin Cyclone Vacuum Compares WELL to Competition

Cleaning is my least favorite thing to do. That’s why I like my cleaning products and instruments to work well. I thought I was beyond happy with my last vacuum but I was recently introduced to the Panansonic Jetspin Cyclone Vacuum and I’m loving it so far.

While it has the cyclone technology it doesn’t have the pivot, turn on a dime feature. I do miss that but check out this list of other features:

  • Dirt sensor eliminates guesswork – display turns from red to green when floor is clean
  • Unlike competitor models, the dirt cup can be disassembled and washed, eliminating pet odors
  • Four onboard tools including Air Turbine Brush to remove pet hair from upholstery
  • 12-foot wand and hose for curtains and other hard-to-reach areas
  • HEPA filtration to remove allergens, pollutants and irritants
  • Belt Saver stops the motor when a cord/shoelace/carpet fringe becomes wrapped around the agitator
  • Available at an SRP of $249

A vacuum that tells you when the carpet is clean, what gets better than that? What I really liked about the Panasonic Jetspin Cyclone is it feels sturdier, more durable than its cyclone competition. It is heavier than our most recent vacuum but the onboard tools are handy when you decide to reach for those corner cobwebs or want to dust off the drapes. I also like the idea of bagless vacuuming but worry about particles getting back in the air when emptying out the canister.

In this house we have a mix of carpet, hardwood and ceramic tile. The Panasonic Jetspin has an EZ Bare Floor Switch that gives you a quick transition from carpet to floors without the need for changing or adding attachments.

It all comes down to cleaning. How well does the Panasonic Jetspin Cyclone Vacuum measure up to other vacuums out there? I would say excellent! It have great suction power a hefty “this is gonna last a long time” feel and everything I need to get the job done throughout the entire house.
