Flair 4 All Removable Wall Decals

Make a mark without leaving a mark. This is what you can do with Flair4All Removable Wall Decals with Flair.
Flair4All is a design and product development company that’s all about home décor. Everyone needs a little style, or flair, in the space they call their own. They are about helping their customers realize the untapped potential of using walls, dorms, lockers and bookshelves–almost any surface– as a place for risk-free self-expression and creativity.

Shae is too little to let express herself in the décor area. So I took I upon myself to decorate her room with the vibrant Whimsy Flowers in Raspberry Truffle color that was sent to me. The colors and overall flower design complemented her existing bedding and wall mural while adding that pop the room needed. I arranged the flowers around her bed and a bit along the floor. The design was random but in my opinion came out very pretty. I wish I had 1 more sheet to do the other side of her bed or even her closet door but $20 for 3 sheets is an extremely reasonable price to transform a room.

The application was simple, peel and stick, rub a little and your done. A couple times I changed my mind on the position or grouping so I had to peel and move around, it was simple and there was no threat of tearing to pulling paint. Shae has been attempting to peel a couple leaves off but stops when I remind her that they are so pretty now she just tries to sniff them. I haven’t peeled any of them off since the initial application a couple weeks back so I can’t attest to the Smart Release claim. They are staying put, no lifting that I’ve noticed, so far so good.

Flair4All wall decals come in over 70 styles and 7 color palettes, this gives customers the opportunity to choose just the right design for their project. Shae’s Whimsy Flowers are girly bedroom appropriate but they have selections for all over the house and beyond. Boys aren’t left behind either with choices like Rocker Tats and Vintage Vinyl.

Dad’s Perspective: The application was easy, easy enough for the kids to even do. Maybe we’ll get Shaun his own Sports or Extreme Sports and he can put them where he wants in his room. He’s getting to the age where he has an opinion about everything; this is definitely where he can express himself.

Why Can’t Kids Always Be Calm?

Shaun was home from school sick yesterday and we are not sure if it is just a cold or the flu. He had a fever was tired and he didn’t have much of an appetite. Melinda said he was a little whiny first thing in the morning but as the morning went on that went away.

I got home from work around noon and Shaun was in my bed watching cartoons and just relaxing. I asked him how he was feeling and he said fine. In talking with Melinda she said for breakfast Shaun only ate two pieces of plain toast because he was feeling nauseous. On the way home from work I picked up Chick Fil A nuggets for Shae because she called me and asked me to pick them up for her. How could I deny my sweet baby Chick Fil A nuggets. I know what you are thinking, Shae is 2 years old how did she call me. Melinda called and Shae did the rest. LOL.

Melinda and Shae left to go to Delaware to see our newly born niece and Shaun and I stayed home. After a little while Shaun came down and wanted to eat because now he was hungry. I guess so what 6 year old boy can survive on plain toast alone! Over the course of an hour or so Shaun ate the following.

4 Chick Fil A nuggets and some fries
Half an apple
Peanut Butter Sandwich
Brownie

I guess he is feeling better if he can eat all of that. LOL. Actually as of bed time he still had a fever so I guess he just built up an appetite for all of that food due to his lack of a sound breakfast.

Ok, so to the title of my post. I needed to lay out the day yesterday in order to get to my point. Shaun is usually a high strung kid who cries at the drop of a hat. If you tell him no to TV, going outside or pretty much anything for that matter he will cry. I thought by the age of 6 the crying would slow down but NOPE. Yesterday was a much different day. All day yesterday he was CALM as could be. No crying all day. If you asked him to do something he did it will NO complaints at all which is usually not the case. He ate dinner without a single complaint which usually is not the case. We even gave him a $3 cupcake that Melinda picked up at a fancy bakery in Delaware and Shaun didn’t even want it which usually not the case.

Are you starting to see a theme here? I am!!!! I need Shaun to be sick all of the time because when he is he is the nicest kid to be around. Pleasant, no crying or complaining.

Not sure why sickness is the only time when he is CALM but I will take it because yesterday was so relaxed and not filled with stress like usual. I am not saying I want Shaun to feel like crap all of the time so he is calm I just wish on a normal day when he felt fine he was like that also.

What are your thoughts on this?

Costume Kingdom Evaluation

Trick or Treat smell my feet”, is what Shaun has been saying for the last few days so you know that means. Halloween is right around the corner. If you are still in need of a Halloween costume for yourself or your children check out Costume Kingdom.

Costume Kingdom has been around for 10 years and delivers only the best Halloween costumes. They have costumes and accessories for men, women, boys, girls, plus size and even sexy styles, OH YEAH!!!! They have such a huge selection of costumes when we were given the opportunity to do a analysis it took hours for Shaun to look thru and decide what costume he wanted. We already knew what costume we wanted to get for Shae so it was just a matter of typing it into the search field and finding it. In the end we choose Minnie Mouse for Shae and Deluxe Clone Trooper Cody from Star Wars for Shaun.

The nice thing about Costume Kingdom is if you know what you are looking for use the search function like we did for Shae. If not you can search thru their hundreds of costumes. But beware; this will take some time as we found out when looking for Shaun’s costume. They have so many awesome costumes Shaun changed his mind at least five times before we finally decided on Deluxe Clone Trooper Cody from Star Wars. Whatever your idea Costume Kingdom will have something to help complete the look.

For a limited time Costume Kingdom is offering free shipping with a $65 minimum order(U.S Standard Shipping). They offer hassle free returns with no restocking fee and even ship worldwide. Mabel’s Labels, where everything has a label

Schools in! For lost of families this means lost umbrellas, jackets, hats, backpacks, pencils and even shoes. Luckily we don’t suffer from this too much except for umbrellas. Mabel’s Labels has come up a solution to the “kids stuff black hole”. Sticky labels and clothing labels, which are dishwasher, microwave and laundry safe, are not only practical, but also designed to be very special to each child. The labels are customized with a child’s name, favorite mix of colors and an icon (animal, symbol, etc.). Mabel’s Labels have also expanded their product line to include personalized stationery products, ID wristbands and household labels.

Sabreena was able to try out their personalized stationery. We live in an age of technology she’s still at an age where handwritten notes are appropriate. Personalized stationery allows her to send quick notes to long-distance grandparents or friends where we used to live. The paper is printed with a fun swirl design in pretty blue & green hues with coordinated return address labels, envelope closures and “from the desk of” stickers for the included notepad or even any other piece of paper.

Mabels Labels are just for kids stuff though; they carry great organization solutions for the entire home. Personally I like the cord control labels. We have a drawer full of cables and chargers for phones, cameras, PDAs, hard drives and more; each time we need something we have to dig and examine for just the right one. The Custom Canister and Spice Labels are great to keep your baking and cooking ingredients neatly organized in the cabinet or countertop.

Mabel’s Labels strive to continuously design innovative labels for babies, kids and grown-ups alike. You’ll be amazed at what you can label!

Fit Factor Kids workouts for kids by kids

Active children are healthy children. Sports, games, playground fun and structured exercise are all ways to keep kids moving while instilling healthy habits for staying fit. Our kids have run the gamut for organized sports: Tae Kwon Do, soccer, softball, gymnastics, etc. While they haven’t yet chosen one thing they want to stick to I’m happy that they love to try new things. Over the summer we introduced them to regular exercise. Some days it was too hot to go outside but we all had a little energy to burn. Fit Factor Kids came in very handy for just this purpose. Using a cast of KIDS really kept the younger ones interested as well as using fun and simple movements, our favorite is the animal warm-up.

Groove along with the Fit Factor Kids superstars through six exercise routines designed to improve children’s fitness. Children use their imaginations and learn how to take care of their bodies as their energetic hosts provide informative tips and instruction.

These children’s fitness workouts include creative animal movements, mimic recess activities such as jumping rope, playing four-square and shooting baskets. While the young fitness hosts walk you through simple stretching, strengthening and aerobic activities.
Fit Factor Kids is great addition to any family especially as the cool winter months are rolling in and the sun is setting much earlier in the evening.

A special thank you to Fit Factor Kids for helping us get to IZEAFest 2009. Without them we wouldn’t have gained the education needed to keep going strong at LookWhatMomFound…and Dad too.

Stride Rite Shoes Recap

I remember Sabreena’s, Shaun’s and Shae’s first steps. It’s an overwhelming and joyous moment. I specifically remember than they were not wearing shoes, barefoot is best for babies. But what about those times when shoes are necessary like when it’s time to leave the house.

Stride Rite has been in the baby, toddler and kid shoe business for 85 years. With that kind of longevity they must be doing something right. Stride Rite realizes that shoes not only have to look good but they have to fit and be tough enough to withstand the rigorous demands of little moving feet. After some extensive research with New York’s Hospital for Special Surgery Stride Rite has develop the SRT collection, a line of shoes designed to improve the way a baby learns to walk via a sensory feedback system, a flexible design that allows for more freedom of movement, and a unique construction that reduces stumbles and falls.

Shae is past the beginning walking stage but Stride Rite is still is a great choice for toddler feet. Toddler Tech, the next step up, is a collection of shoes made from light weight materials, deep flexible grooves for stability and mobility and an airbag in the heel for shock absorption for comfort. Shae has been wearing her Sydney Fall shoes since they arrived a couple weeks back. They fit is great, the style is cool and the colors are fantastic for the fall season. With it’s Velcro strap Shae is able to put these on herself and the open top allows her to show off cute patterned socks.

Stride Rite wants to give LookWhatMomFound…and Dad too! readers the chance to win a pair SRT shoes for their own little one(you are able to pick the size and gender but shoe style will be up to the sponsor). Visit Stride Rite and tell what shoes you would love to have for your own child.

Dan Zanes THE FINE FRIENDS ARE HERE!

Kids music can be really irritating sometimes with its puppet voices, lack of imagination in lyrics or absence of real music. Dan Zanes and Friends’ is a rare gem in the world of children’s music. This group of real musicians, artists, singers and entertainers has put together a new music video DVD, THE FINE FRIENDS ARE HERE! of old favorites plus a release of some new tunes. This DVD/CD combo was released September 22nd.

The Fine Friends Are Here! is Zanes and Friends’ first DVD in over four years. The DVD showcases what the band’s trademark rollicking concerts are all about and allows kids and fans alike to participate in the wildly popular and regularly sold out experience. This concert performance of the band’s favorite songs was shot on location at The Jalopy Theatre in Red Hook, Brooklyn this past winter and features well-known songs from across the Zanes and Friends catalog including “Let’s Shake,” “Wabash Cannonball,” “El Canario” and “Catch That Train!,” among others. Two special guests join the band at the show: spoken word artist Caridad de la Luz a.k.a. La Bruja raps on “The Welcome Table” and is featured in the video for “Pollito Chicken” while break dancer David Alan a.k.a. Cyclone appears on “Jump Up” and “Walking the Dog.” The DVD also contains three new music videos for the songs “Wonder Wheel,” “Pollito Chicken” and “Night Owl.”

You might recognize Zanes from popular kids shows like Sesame Street, Playhouse Disney and Noggin but Zanes’ and Friends fame reaches much farther. They have achieved acclaim in London, Australia, Spain and Bahrain. The fame started simply, handing out cassettes (what are those LOL) in a neighborhood park in New York City. It was all about introducing people to this “new sound”, but the sound wasn’t exactly new just different from what parents were used to. Using the world as inspiration Zanes’ and Friends blend the cultures they love with the talent they possess to create a mix that is not only a relief to listen to but ultra-fun to watch, have you seen Zanes’ suits and hair!

Catch a show and see for yourself how entertaining, imaginative and original children’t music can be.

C. Belly Belts Recapitulation

Now that Shae is 2 we’ve started some potty training. Summer potty training was easy since she could run around in a diaper or dress but now that autumn is hitting pants are hindering our efforts. C. Belly Belts is the solution for those struggles. With its unique wrap around design these belts WILL fit your child.

The C.belly™ belt offers a unique open-front design with simple velcro closures. It does not cover the front of the belly so it never has to be removed when changing clothes or using the restroom. C.Belly Belts was designed by mom Lynn Crist from a need to prevent droopy drawers, aid in potty training and promote independence while getting dressed. The belts are manufactured in the USA and are made from durable cotton or nylon and finished with attractive grosgrain ribbon to withstand regular use over many years

The design is quite ingenious actually. The belt goes on like a regular belt, pulled through the loops. When the belt reaches the front it doesn’t buckle but actually folds back on itself and velcros shut. You’re left with an opening at the button or snap with the secure hold to hold up even pants that are sized up.

Shae is new to the jeans and khakis game. She was a stretchy pants girl due to her chubbiness. We recently purchased some cute jeans that finally fit over her thighs and booty but are a tad wide in the waist. C. Belly Belts now lets her wear her new fashions without threat of sliding down. C. Belly Belts has opened a whole new world in our household allowing Shae to have access to an entirely different wardrobe.

C. Belly Belts are available online for $12.99 each or a Value Pack of 2 for $20. Considering the length of time your child could use one it’s quite a good deal. And with so many cute colors, designs and patterns you can find belts to match any outfit for boys and girls.

C. Belly Belts wants to give LookWhatMomFound…and Dad too! readers the chance to win 2 belts for their own little ones. Visit C. Belly Belts and tell your favorite 2 belt designs.

Kidorable gear and accessories Recapitulation

The weather around here lately is weird, rain in the morning and sun by lunch and rain again at night. We like to walk Shaun to the busstop but Shae doesn’t like her shoes to get wet, yes she’s prissy sometimes. How happy was she (and I) when she received these adorable Ladybug Rain Boots and matching Ladybug Backpack from Kidorable. And yes she wears both the boots and backpack to the bus stop even when it’s not raining.

Kidorable is an online boutique for kid’s raingear and fun accessories. Started in 1997 by Liping and Jonathan Domsky, they proclaimed, “The world needs someone to create children’s apparel and accessories that are both functional and fun. We can do that.” That first year was the introduction of umbrellas and hangers and each year they launch a new product line which brings them another year of success. In its first three years, Kidorable grew from a hopeful startup to a thriving business with $2 million in sales. Ever since, Kidorable has continued to blossom, evolving into a flourishing global enterprise, contributing to the success of dozens of sales professionals and thousands of retailers, with sales projected to exceed $10 million by 2010.

Every kid needs their very own umbrella for the rain. I remember buying Shaun a frog Kidorable umbrella on a rainy shopping trip. He was bummed he didn’t have his own umbrella so when we spotted it in a department store I knew it would make his day. While this was a couple years ago we still have it and he still has the urge to use it but at the ripe old age of six something more manly might be more appropriate. Shae is at the perfect age to carry an umbrella, dress in a raincoat wear rainboots and carry her backpack, all matching and all ridiculously adorable. The product line reaches far beyond raingear. Another one of my faves is the hooded towel, a great accessory for bath or beach! Take your pick from a variety of fun kids products like backpacks, mittens, scarves, embroidered tees, bookends and more, all designed to complement the theme and take your child from toddlerhood to preschool.

Win your own Kidorable umbrella right here at LookWhatMomFound…and Dad too! Visit Kidorable and tell me another item that you love or think would make a great addition to their collection.
